I'm wondering why they wouldn't choose a location more central to the state? Please don't flame me here, nothing wrong with Rochester, to me it just seems to limit attendance because of the distant for the rest of the state, Long Island, Jersey, CT, etc.
I'm sure there is something in their demographics database that influenced their decision.
In terms of being central, Syracuse or Utica would be for the state (yes I know NYCers don't think so, but from a logistics stand point it really is CENTRAL NY).

I had never heard of the travel show before, so I don't know what to expect, and from reading through the thread, it seems like a lot of people are in the same boat. I would love to hear a little about what it is. I am not a 

Also looking forward to going to the museum, we have never been there before. Even though it is a "timeshare presentation" it is a Disney timeshare presentation and i'm already a member thinking about an add-on so that's a non-issue. Thanks for posting the additional issue about the musical acts. I am looking forward to this

I will be coming to Rochester from around Utica and picking up dd at Nazareth so she can attend the event with us. Keep us informed if you hear any details about the big weekend.
