Disney Vacation Club - 30th Anniversary Special Streaming Event

I enjoyed the music segments. I thought that the interviews went a little long. Glad to hear that the lounge will remain open through 2021 and I would probably play the selfie game if it were not costing me so dang much for a park ticket. I can’t see spending limited, expensive park time on that.

I just got the email announcement about this. It promises “new ways to enjoy your membership in 2021.” What might that have been?

Selfie game in the parks starting/ending at the DVS Sales Kiosks.

I liked the Riviera Lego model (starting at the 6 min point) but fast forwarded through most of the rest. I sampled a moment here or there but did not watch the video in full. The length was waaaaaaay too long and the content waaaaaaay toooooo slooooow. Not for me, thanks.

Edited to add: I think having Ryan host this event was a mistake?? His tone in the Disney Files magazine seems upbeat and almost bouncy. In this 30 year anniversary video, he was somber and tip-toeing through greetings, "Thank you, my friend ..." that seemed, in tone and cadence, to be appropriate at a memorial service (funeral). Not quite the tone I expected for an Anniversary video?

Watching “We Go On" now (well, taking a break; watched 20 mins - about 1/2 - so far.) Keala Settle's rendition of the ballad, "It's a Small World' (at the tempo it was originally written) was beautiful. Interesting show interspersed with 'commercials'. Looking forward to the upcoming Voices of Liberty.

I agree! The script was all wrong for him - he must not have written it, or whoever writes his intro pieces to Disney Files didn't write it. Maybe that's why I couldn't get past the Lego Riviera model segment - he was just not "himself" as I know him from Disney Files. I expected something more upbeat and fun throughout.
