Disney vacation account

I am on vacation now and had a small amount of money left on my Disney vacation account. I asked the front desk if there was a way to use it for room charges and they said I could call the 800 number and get it cashed out for a gift card at guest services. When I called Disney vacation account they said that wasn't possible. Does anyone know if it is possible or if there is anything I can use it on at the parks or resort?

Nope, there's no way to use DVA funds in person. You have to request they "cash it out" to a giftcard well in advance of your trip, since they must send the gift card through the mail.

PP is correct the only way you can use that money on your trip is if you cash it out to a card before your trip. You can't otherwise access that money while you are there.
