I've had a DVA for probably a bit over a year. I have found a convenient way to use gift cards, especially if I make a reservation I later need to cancel. I remember warnings to keep all the gift cards one applies to the account in case you need to take the funds out of the account without spending them. Does anyone know in what order they apply cards? Right now, I have a zero balance. If I added more and for some reason needed to get the money put back on the gift cards, would Disney refund to the most recently applied cards? I have a rather large number of used gifts I've applied to the DVA that I'm saving and would like to dispose of at some point.
On a related point, after quite a number of transactions, I'm wondering if I should now close the account and start over to avoid needing to keep all of those old cards (and the rather disturbing possibility of at some point needing to sort through all of them to find whatever particular card Disney wants to issue the refund to).
(BTW, I found a place online that will recycle old gift cards which is good. I'm not sure if I'm allowed to post here.)
