Disney Vacation Account for Annual Passes?

Hi all. I'm trying to pinch pennies, and planning to get a Disney Vacation Account. Has anyone recently used this to pay for annual passes? Our current plan is to get annual passes for our next trip, since we hope to go to Disney World three times in less than a year. But annual passes aren't specifically mentioned as things you can pay for using the account, so I would like to know for sure, one way or the other, before we put more than we need to into the account

I did this and paid for my APs in March with no problem.
