I phoned Disney UK tonight to add a room request to my booking and asked for my US reservation number as I had heard of people having difficulty making dining reservations with a UK number. The lady said they were aware that their were problems currently with the dining department and they were connected with their new system, and they should be sorted out shortly (before I am due to make ADRS on the 2nd July!) She told me to phone Disney US and request the number. The disney dining cm's have been briefed to transfer disney uk guests with UK reservation numbers to guest services - and it shouldnt be a problem. There are only problems when reservations have been made at the last minute and the bookings havent been transferred to Disney US.

I phoned guest services myself - and they were able to locate my Disney US reservation number in about 10 mins, they just put me on hold while they spoke to another department.

Hope this helps (and reassures) some DISers!:goodvibes

I'm shocked how much of an issue this seems to be! It's the 21st century and Disney still can't figure out how to have a reservation made via the UK WDTC linked (efficiently) to the USA WDTC. I'd understand if it were an issue because the reservation was made by a travel agent, but making a reservation with Disney itself you expect some kind of streamlining!

Disney UK must be getting sick of all the people calling for their US reservation numbers! I imagine there has been quite an influx. :rotfl:

Yes - I got the impression Disney UK are getting a lot of these calls!

The problem is that Disney US consider Disney UK to be a travel agent - I ahve no idea why but its a really stupid system having two different reservation numbers! Disney US also had my name spelt wrong even though I have booked online and when I log in on Disney UK my name is spelt correctly! All very strange but it sounds like the cast members are trying to resolve the issue :)

You say you rang guest services yourself? Have you got the number?

I rang disney dining the other day and they told me they haven't got the info and to ring my travel agent. I asked my travel agents and they have been told to give me the disney dining number! Rang back and asked to be put through to guest services and was told they couldn't!

I've only got a few weeks left until I have to ring and book my ADR's and I'd rather know I have the number before hand, otherwise I'll just panic lol.

Yes I rang guest services myself - and they found my number after about 10 mins. Like you I only have a few weeks left and thought it was better to do it now so I dont start panicing nearer the time! I think they did the search using my surname and hotel reservation dates.

I phoned (407) 939-7675 - this is vacation packages. I had to answer a load of voice activated questions before I got through to someone so bear with it!

We had no problems at all, WDW dine just typed our name and address into their system and a us reservation came up

Yup thats what they did when I tried to make my ADRS except I was four days early and then again today a day early think I'm getting a bit excited :rotfl:

The guy on the phone told me that the UK numbers don't come up on their system but not to worry it can be done the way we've both stated above. :goodvibes

I phoned this morning and they would not give me my US number, insisted I would need to sort it when I called for my ADR's:mad:

They said they could'nt give me mine so I asked them to transfer me to Guest Services, I was put through to Disney Dining & she located me US number easily, confirmed my ADR dates & told me I was all set. I rang 3 times the first couple of times, I gave the number & all was fine the third time she tried to locate it herself & it was taking ages, when I re offered my US number she was so pleased as she could not find me. I advise you to make sure you have it prior to booking your ADR's either through Guest services or through Disney Dining.

We got ours today:thumbsup2 I rang up this afternoon to make a payment :woohoo:and asked the woman at Open Ride and she took less than a minute to locate it and give me the information. She even checked it for me when I read it back to her and confirmed I had written it down correctly. So now once the park hours are released I can sort out our ADRs. I evn asked her to check if we had ME booked and she told me it's there on our reservation and we'll get the info pack sent out at the beginning of September which will let us know how to find it once we land at MCO and how the return procedure works. Can't fault them at all at the moment:cloud9: Just waiting now for an updated invoice to arrive in the post.

Phoned today for my ADRs (right day this time) all they asked for was the name of the first person on the booking and then what our dates were. Managed to get all my reservations bar 1 as it is outside the 10 day window but 5 out of 6 is not bad.

I did call to get my US number just to make sure but was told that you don't need it and not to worry they will sort it out for you.
