Disney UK Booking Ref ?????

Hi

Sorry to butt in - but can we still get a confirmation number if we booked through Virgin? :)

We booked our OKW accommodation and free DDP with Complete Orlando and they have sent me a 12 digit booking reference which I had to wait for on booking as it was sent from the USA - is this the code I will need for my ADR's in February or do I need to email for a different one?

This is the one :thumbsup2 12 digits, no letters.

Kudos to CO for doing this of their own accord. :) Now you have four months to go through the restaurants and decide where you are going to eat :cool2:

When did it change to 12 numbers from the shorter letter number combo it had when we went last September? My parents are going next May and have booked with Virgin. I told my mum to get their US reservation number and when she came back with the 12 digit number I said that isn't right and got her to phone again. :guilty: They must think she is mad! :rotfl2:

For this August I originally had my 6 digit UK number, I emailed them on 5th Nov 2010 they replied on the 6th with my US number which was a mix of 8 letters and numbers, I emailed straight back asking for my 12 digit US number, they emailed back the same day.
I have use the 12 digit US number for the past 3 years, if you ask for the 12 digit you get it, if you don't ask specifically for it they sometimes give you the 8 letter number mix. Usually works just the same but not for everyone.

Thanks. I only ever had the mix of numbers and letters before so didn't know this existed. It always worked although there was one dining agent I spoke to last year who said that it "didn't seem to be in the correct format" when I gave it to her and was surprised when it worked! As 12 digits is the way to go I'll make sure I ask for this when I get it for my trip next November.

Here's another update from my experience on the phone a few minutes ago (I am too impatient to email and wait for a reply )

I rang Disney UK, selected my option, asked for my US reservation number and the CM asked me if I had booked this trip more than 48 hours ago. I said yes. She asked me to hold. 30 seconds later she came back and asked if I was ready for the 12 digit number. Done and dusted in under 2 minutes :confused3

Again just reminds us all how different agents will give different response. Not sure if this is helpful or frustrating to anyone waiting for a number but you CAN obviously still get it right after booking. I am 10 months out from out trip.

What number did you call?

The Disney UK number 0870 2424 900 and just selected the option for non flight inclusive bookings.

I remember emailing last year and getting the same response as you and so many others did. Not being one to just sit and take a No when I am sure the answer is really Yes :rotfl: I phoned Disney UK last year too. First CM said she couldnt give it so early. I hung up and redialled and the next person just gave it to me.

I hope you don't mind me jumping into this thread - I have (eventually) my 12 digit number from Virgin, but I'm not sure if I can use it to call up my reservation at disneyworld.com. I tried (at disneyinternational.com) but it wouldn't work. And as we're not going until Aug 2012 it doesn't work on the page I'm directed to when I try and book ADRs using my dining plan. I would like to know that, when the day comes when I can book ADRs, the number works and I don't have to chase Virgin again for the right number. Any help greatly appreciated!

Hi Catherine

There were some changes to the system at the beginning of the year and you are correct, these references issued to UK guests will not call up your reservation no matter what you try. But you have nothing to worry about :)

When you get closer to the time, you will be able to associate your reservation with your ADRs. Do you have an account (username and login password) on the Disney site? I think you do need to be registered to do that but may stand to be corrected :confused3 (I've been logged in for years :lmao:)

Besides, even if you check it now, knowing Disney, something will have changed by the time the 180 mark rolls in. ;)

Thanks so much 2tiggies. Yep I've got a Disney account. How will I tie up my reservation with the ADRs - should I telephone Disney and get them to give me a number they recognise? This is driving me nuts - it took ages to get a correctly formatted from Virgin and it doesn't even work!!

You have the correct number already. It's just that you won't be able to test it before your ADR's open up. I will have a look and see if there is a way to check it tonight (think I did this a year or two back) but don't worry about it. It tells you what to do step by step on the website and we will talk you through it if need be when the time comes. :goodvibes

You have the number - that is the biggest challenge for so many - and you didn't leave it to the last minute. Your battle is pretty much won :thumbsup2

Thanks again! Feel much better about it now and will try and forget about it till February (easier said than done!)

Okay Catherine, here you go :) I remember what I did last year

Log into Disney.com
Go to the dining reservations
Go to the calendar and scroll as far as it will let you to the last highlighted date. If you see this in the morning it will be May 15th, 2012

I know that is not your date, but look underneath it, below Guests, and you will see:

You have chosen a date more than 180 days in advance of today's date. Please choose a date less than 180 days in advance and try again.

Login now if you are a Disney Resort hotel Guest or a Travel Agent for extended booking dates.

Click on Log in now
It may ask you to put in your password again - if so, do this. It will bring you to the page you want.

Now it asks for your confirmation number and arrival date. This is where you will enter your 12 digit number into the confirmation and select your arrival date. You cannot go any further until your arrival date opens up on the calendar at 180 days, but your number WILL work. All you need to know is where to put it in, which once you have looked at this on the website, will put your mind at rest.

Thanks! I just tried it. I couldn't get it to work on the dining page, but when I clicked on reservations and entered the number it did! So now I have evidence that I have the right number which will be ready to go in February. I'm just so excited that WDW know we're coming!

Really apreciate all your help. Catherine

Calling Disney UK...I spoke to a lady named Aretha, who said that with the new booking system, the US would automatically release them approx 1 month out from 180 date unless especially requested by UK. She put me on hold and called US. She came back and said they would process it now, but since it would take around 30 mins, Disney US would call return the call to my mobile.
30 minutes later, I got the call and more importantly my 12 digit "ACCOVIA" number
First ADR booking date for me is 12th Feb 2012 :yay::yay::yay:
