Based on my research on Disney weddings and having been to two myself, we all know that Disney weddings are different from weddings anywhere else! The two other weddings I've been to (which were two of my cousins from the same side of the family) added their own little spin to it. Obviously, they had different colors, food selection, cake, venues, etc. However, one had Mickey & Minnie show up, the other had characture artists.

So now, I'm kinda stumped on what "twist" I should add to mine. I thought about a clumsy waiter or wedding crashers, but some may find it annoying.. and it doesn't seem like me or my groom. Any suggestions?

It could be fun to do a specific movie theme. I've seen a lot of Little Mermaid weddings, but you could do it with anything. The key would be to get the colors and textural elements right. It could even extend to wedding favors and menu choices.

They have other Disney characters you can choose from.

We wanted to have the 501st (Star Wars Clone Troopers) to be there but certain venues have restrictions on outside entertainment.

If you like the idea of a having an entertainer but aren't into the standard options, Disney will create one for you. One bride here had some singing pirates, and another created a Grand Floridian maid character. Other ways to set your wedding apart might be to hold it inside a park or to have part of it during Wishes or IllumiNations, if that wasn't done by your cousins. You could customize the food with something fun, like a late-night snack bar toward the end of the reception, or some family recipe or tradition. Or you could add a ride mix-in (depending on your reception location)!

I think you should choose something that reflects the personalities of you, your DF, & your relationship. :) Do you guys have a favorite ride or fireworks or movie or character?
