Hi everyone. My kids and I are bummed because our Fall trip has been cancelled. I would love to make some treats that scream DISNEY! What do you suggest and any recipes are appreciated!

I'm sorry to hear about your trip.

www.allears.net has a lot of WDW recipes. Go to "dining" and look at the menu on the left side of the screen for a recipe link.

One of our favorite things to make is the pb&j milkshakes from 50's Prime Time. Our milkshakes taste exactly like the ones at the restaurant. :goodvibes

We love the rice krispy treats that are mickey head shaped that you can dip and roll in various toppings like at Goofys in DTD.

Maybe you could make the treats and have a bar with the toppings?

Hey, maybe I should do that too!:thumbsup2

Thanks for the link and I was planing on making the rice crispies treats but hadn't thought about the bar with toppings. I was hoping to hear ideas from everyone what you make that makes you think of Disney when you need a fix.

Dole Whip

2 cans (20 oz. each) DOLE Crushed Pineapple
2 tablespoons lemon juice
2 tablespoons lime juice
1/3 cup sugar
1-1/2 cups heavy whipping cream, whipped

Drain pineapple; reserve 2 tablespoons juice. Set aside.

Place pineapple, lemon juice, lime juice, sugar and reserved pineapple juice in blender or food processor container. Cover; blend until smooth.

Pour into two 1-quart freezer zipped bags. Store bags flat in freezer. Freeze about 1-1/2 hours or until slushy.

Stir gently pineapple slush into whipped cream until just blended, in large bowl. Return to freezer until completely frozen, about 1 hour. Serve.

OMG I am wipping the drool off my keyboard as I type! Thank you! :worship:

Like you, we cancelled our trip too. Bummer. :sad1: We make Mickey pancakes freehand, they're not all perfect...but...they taste good and make us think of WDW! I just use a measuring cup to dole out the pancake mix and do the shape - we love them! We also have family Disney movie night with the popcorn in our souvenir popcorn buckets. It does help - a little!

We can be sad together! The popcorn bucket is a great idea!

Rice krispy mickey heads always reminds us of disney. Pretty easy to make too.

THanks I was thinking that as I already have the cookie cutter and Mickey Sprinkles. SOmeone else mentioned the topping bar and I may do just that!

Maybe not for the kids- but for you
Grey Goose slushie

1 liter (1 quart) Grey Goose Citron Vodka
250 ml (1 cup) lemon/lime sour mix
lots of ice

Blend with ice (or swirl in a slushy machine) until drink has an “ice slushy” texture.

WOW!!! I've never heard of anyone with the Dole Whip recipe! I will put this with my Crystal Palace french toast recipe and Le Cellar cheese soup recipe! Thanks for sharing.

YUM!!!! These all look great.

Sorry about your trip!

We've made the Dole Whip, it's not exactly the same (consistancy) but it is pretty darn tasty!

OP, sorry about your trip. If you don't have a Mickey waffle iron they are pretty cheap and we have a lot of fun with them.

OMG I would love one of those! Do they make the waffles like at the parks?
