When Disney announced this channel it was for just Time Warner I think it was and I was bummed out big time...Well...

Good news and bad news for Comcast users, at least for those here in Richmond VA (Annette..Listen up!!!) Good news... I just found some previews to the shows. if you have Comcast Digital and go to On Demand and then to Searchlight then travel there are lots of snippets. No full length shows but about 5-10 minutes per show.. basically previews... bad news.. no channel listed yet but I sure hope this is an indication we may get the channel because I loved what I watched.

Now since Comcast adds channels on customer usage, everyone who has Comcast go see if you have these previews and watch them so the Comcast folks see there is a need and want for the channel :)

Just thought I would share since these are hidden deep within OnDemand

Heard anything about Verizon subscribers or just Comcast?? I've gotta check that out with Verizon - I'm in Richmond too. Where in the City are you?? I'm southside - Stratford Hills area. I heard something about this channel months ago but then didn't hear anything else about it.

Thanks

TLTerryNVA -

I am in Varina... Did you relocate from NVA?? We did about 2 years ago from Manassas.. I keep meeting more and more from NVA in this area and saw the mention on your name which is why I ask.

the "nva" is "in va" - I moved here from Canada a few years ago. But go to Potomac Mills all the time - so I'm almost from NVA!! LOL

I mentioned to Annette the other day that all the people in VA should try and do a "mini Dis meet" thought it might be fun to meet fellow fans. :cool1:

Thank you for the heads up, I'm On Demand now looking it up. This is really cool, I don't use On Demand enough as I should.:)

LOVE Potomac Mills - but I usually bypass it on my way to NOVA - now that I found the 'back' roads. I HATE 95.

Count me in on the VA DIS meet. I'm a little south of you guys, in Prince George.

I actually found these over the weekend when I had a few minutes of downtime. I usually go to Searchlight to look at new home sales in our area. I just like to get decorating tips from the models they show... HA! I clicked on the Travel & Leisure section, and Wham, there were all these Disney clips. The best ones were the Fact or Fiction. Although I already knew about the basketball court and the utilidors, they were fun to watch. I'd never actually seen either location.

{{{I also liked Elizabeth Hasselbeck's money saving tips. SARCASM}} What a joke. It was the standard Disney propoganda on the dining program and MYW packages, etc.

But, it was a nice way to kill about an hour or so! And of course, I got the look :rolleyes2 from my DH, which made the whole experience that much more rewarding.

Found it on Comcast thanks for lettimg me on this secret, it was like a hidden Mickey. I did not know there was a basket ball court in the Disneyland matterhorn. IS this a network where you can watch more.

Yes to Dis-meet in Va.. I just relocated from Norfolk to Richmond area (Ashland actually) I'd love to do a meetup:wave2: . They must have just started these this weekend.. I somehow stumbled upon them this weekend (I think I was searching through guide and they had one of those pop-ups at the bottom of the channels) I was so excited.. then dissapointed that they are only a few minutes long each... so these are just commercials? I can't wait for the real thing:cool1: LOL DH already gets sick of disney programs since I have all the travel channel episodes on the DVR:happytv:

Hi, I'm in Richmond, too (well, Midlothian) and I saw the promos for the Disney Travel on Demand. But I'm so bummed... we just have regular Comcast, not digital, so I can't get any of that On Demand stuff. We are too cheap. Although, we are getting so frustrated because they keep taking away channels and the price keeps going up. So we may have to make a change anyway.

So our area doesn't have the whole Disney on Demand yet, just previews?

I would like to hear more about this on- demand channel.

Hi everyone in Virginia (Richmond area or otherwise) if you're interested in getting together for a meet - PM me. We could maybe meet at a centrally located restaurant. (After we figure out where everyone is at to determine "centrally located"). It's Great to see so many of us from the area!!:)

Let's try to coordinate schedules and get some plans in the works!! :cool1:

I have Comcast in Memphis. I can't find them anywhere! And when I wrote an email to Comcast, they thought I wanted to place an ad on Searchlight. It's so frustrating! You would think all Comcast's would be the same.

Ok I think I have found the Virginian's. I am in Sterling and I could not find it on our Comcast On-Demand poopola feature. That thing like never works, always says Error....... Nice to see so many of us from VA.

Yay, I found it! We have it up here in PA too. I'll have to watch some tomorrow, now I am heading to bed.

Oh, man - we're DirecTV people, so no Comcast :(

It's awesome to see so many Virginians here! I'm technically in Mechanicsville - I live just north of VA Center Commons mall.

We totally need to do a VA meet :cool1:
