I saw on Itunes that the Travel Channel has put up 9 of the Disney specials.

They are available for $1.99 each or the whole "season" for $14.99. Now I can watch them on the go. :cool1:

Here are the ones they had up.

Disney's Animal Kingdom
Disney Cruise Line
Disney on a Dime
Disney Royal Treatment
Disney Splurge!
Samantha Brown's Disney Favorites
Samantha Brown's Disney Holidays
Undiscovered Walt Disney World
Walt Disney World Resort - Behind the Scenes

Some are older ones, but I think some are pretty recent ones. Now you can get them for Itunes, Ipod video or Iphone.

This is a MUST have for any Disney/iPhone lover:) I know what I'm downloading from iTunes tonight and putting on my iPhone.:cool1:

Come on Kevin, you know you want Samantha Brown on your iPhone!!

nnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo:furious: I just can't buy it from itunes store italy........why why ?!?!?! I was looking forward for season of disney :worried:  :headache:

Cool! Thanks for sharing. I looked a few weeks ago & didn't see anything "Disney". They must be new.:cool1:

Sigh. We can't buy them in Canada either unless your credit card has a US address. Does anyone know if these can be burned to a disc after they are bought?

I am sorry, to hear that you can't buy them. Italy, didn't surprise me, but Canada does.

There are things I wish I could buy on the UK Itunes.

That is an excellent question! I'm sure there are some of us American DISers that could share .......... if it's possible.
I don't know enough about burning video from iTunes. I know how to burn a music CD, but how would it work with a video download? :confused3 Could you just burn to a DVD disc instead? If so, could it then be uploaded/played on another computer?

I don't know enough about international computer configurations, but I do know there are some differences. Anyone know??? :surfweb:

To burn and share is considered illegal distribution, and discussion about it can get this thread deleted.

So, until Itunes and Travel Channel release them internationally our non-us Disney addicts won't be able to get them.

Sorry, don't mean to be a stick in the mud. I just wanted to put the word out that they were available on Itunes. I wish I could get the two specials that were done about Expedition Everest. They were awesome.

How about burning NOT to share, but for your own personal use?

My iPod battery often won't play for several hours. I was watching Roots one night and had to stop because the darn thing died.

Is it possible to burn it to a DVD for your own use??? Anyone know how?

And THANKS for the info!! This will clear up some space on the DVR as well as make my shows portable and commercial-free!!!! Woo-Hoo! :) I never thought to look for Disney shows. Kinda mentally challenged sometimes. :)

OH! I wasn't going to do that! I just wanted to watch them on my high def TV!! I can buy an itunes card in the states and then set up an account with a US address as I have done this before.

I struggled to find a way to burn some of my Travel Channel shows that I had downloaded to DVD. I don't think they will under any circumstances. I'm not sure I would have bought them if I had realized I had to watch them on my computer screen.

I understand, but have seen Ipod threads vanish if anyone even mentions movie to ipod ripping software or "sharing" files.

Burning music or backing up for your own personal use is allowed. Itunes has a backup purchases feature built in. You can also use a portable drive to transfer files. I do that to transfer between two computers that I am Itunes authorized on. this is handy as Apple won't let you move from the ipod to Itunes. I understand the reasoning, but it makes it harder when I want to put something on my other computer.

The digital rights management used by Apple/iTunes probably isn't by Apple's choice as much as it is by the large corporations insisting upon it in order to allow their stuff to be purchased through iTunes. Unfortunately, it has the adverse side effect of giving Apple a bit of a monopoly (since the content can only be used with their software and devices), as well as severely limiting a consumer's ability to do things that are (arguably) well within the limits of fair use.

I don't want to open a huge debate on the topic of fair use, so I'll say only that if what you want to do is for your own personal use only, it probably constitutes fair use in a classic sense, although more recent legislation has declared such activities to be in violation.

All of that said, there indeed _are_ ways to to get an iTunes video onto a DVD. What is required (in terms of hardware and software) varies by the method, as does the level of complication. I'm hesitant to offer the specifics here, but if you Google a bit, you should be able to find the info you need. You may find exactly what you were hoping for, or possibly decide the level of effort isn't worth it. Good luck.

My most sincere apologies for opening a nasty can of worms. :worried:
I confess I am NOT very familiar with iTunes regulations, policies, etc. I really only d/l the disunplugged each week and sometimes songs. I have a gift card I received at Christmas for iTunes that I haven't even used yet, so that tells you how much I *purchase* from the site.

A peace offering ..... :flower2:

I would not want your thread deleted! It was very kind of you to offer the information.

Awww, thank you for the flower, but you didn't have to. I didn't mean it to sound that I was offended (I am not), I just wanted to warn people that innocently or not, the moderators will kill threads (justly so) that start getting into grey areas.

Really, all I wanted to do was say "Wow, the Travel Channel Disney programs are up for purchase on Itunes."

Thanks :)

I hooked my laptop up to my high def TV with a cable and now I can watch these shoes on my TV. These shows are great for the Disney fix you need!!

If you have TIVO and have it hooked up to your home network, you can transfer your DVRd shows to your computer and convert them to an IPOD-recognizable format. We reclaimed HOURS of hard drive space getting DDs shows put on her ipod. Never occured to me to put the travel shows on my ipod. Wish they had all the great hotels shows- that would be fun to watch on the flight down!

I know what you mean about Great Hotels. I had the Disney ones and lost them when we switched to Dish Network from Cable.

I keep looking for them to repeat them, but no luck so far.
