Disney Transfer - is there an issue not using one direction of purchased transfer?

So I know this is a bit of an odd one. I have transfers booked to and from cruise. Yesterday I tried to amend through my TA but they have managed to get completely confused and instead add on free of charge a private transfer one of the ways. I'm happy to do the private transfer as this was what I was looking at anyway but then was thinking I'd just use Disney the other way (back to the airport) but will there be an issue if I haven't used the transfer to the port? Its a UK travel agent and they don't seem to get that the transfers are booked directly with Disney and not through them so although I've tried to get them to cancel the one they claim I'm not booked on it but I am according to my Disney reservation. Its so confusing and itll just be easier to not have to try and get them to cancel the one way unless I have to.

In answer to your question, no there would be no problem using the transfer from port to airport even if you haven't used the airport to port transfers. However, since there is a cost to DCL transfers, I'd try to contact DCL guest services directly. I know they don't typically get involved if you have a travel agent. But since it is the travel agent that is causing the issue, maybe they would step in and clear up the problem. Email them and explain. The worst that could happen is that they will refer you back to your travel agent and you'd be in the same position you are in now.

Yeah I tried this and they said that my TA had to do it which is why I thought I may as well check. To be fair I don't mind loosing the money as my TA has covered the cost of a private transfer to the port so it actually still works out I've saved money (travelling solo so the private transfer was 3 times the amount of the DCL one but I had decided to splash out).

A little disappointing that DCL won't step in for something that simple - especially since the TA doesn't earn a commission on their transfers. But good it works out for you. Just look at your KTTW card when you check in. There will be a code on it (usually a "PA" when you have round trip transfers to/from the airport), I think on the middle right side. That's what they look at when you return to see that you had booked the transfer back to the airport. As long as you have that, you're good.

Fab thank you! Yeah I thought they might too to be fair but never mind. I'll keep an eye out for the "PA" on there
