Disney TRAMS

Hey All!

Just got back from the World. Had a great time for the most part. Anyway, the Disney Tram now has doors. So instead of just scooting onto the bench on the tram you will now have to open a door instead, then scoot in.

We were there in December and some of the trams were still "doorless". I think it was HS or maybe AK. Guess it takes awhile to complete the transformation.

Yes, I believe the trams at AK had doors. It's so fun in some ways, because so many doors are automated at WDW, the tram doors are manual. When I was at DL, when they were new there were some folks that waited for the door to open for a few moments before realized they had to do it themselves.

The trams for the parking lot? That's weird... I wonder if people were falling out?

I can't remember where I read it, but I believe Disney reported that they would add doors to all trams in "phases". So they will be converting all of them eventually.

We've been seeing more with doors than without recently. They seem to be phasing them in fairly quickly.

Or people jumping on and off before "the tram comes to a complete stop"... might be just preventing problems and accidents.

Tis true, they've been bringing them in in phases, as well as a "quieter" tram as well. Sometimes the tram CM will tell you if it's one of the quieter ones.

I've always said the trams are one of my favorite rides at WDW. But I did feel a little more relaxed not having to hold on so tight with the doors there. I do remember thinking once tho that if I was a little more 'pooh' sized it would be a tight fit getting thru the door.
