Every year my mom and i have been going to Disney and we have some traditions and just little things that i think we just do.

For starters every day for breakfast at pop century we split the french toast platter... i just love their french toast with strawberries on top along with powdered sugar....

Usually we start our trip at the studios given its my favorite park but this year is different. Please read and follow my pre trip report.

We also split breakfast and lunch. Lunch is always hamburgers. Always loved their hamburgers. Lol.

Anyway. What ate some of youe fun tid bits about your trips?

It used to be that on our day of arrival, we'd go to MK and have Pecos Bill's for dinner, and then watch Wishes. That has recently been replaced by Be Our Guest, but the idea is still the same -- have a leisurely dinner and watch the fireworks the first night.

We also pretty much always go through the entrance on the right at the MK. We were forced into the left side a couple of trips ago because we had APs and the right side was for RFID tic when they were in the midst of the transition, but it felt strange and unnatural. :) We're back to the right side now -- never again!

Our first ride is always 'it's a small world'. It's a tradition we started when I was a kid that we have continued with my daughter. For us, it starts the clock on our vacation.

I'm kind of weird in that I usually reserve MK for my last day, so as to leave WDW with that "magic" feeling. If we do AK, that's usually our first park we visit, and I like to get a Yak Attack from the Yak & Yeti CS, especially if it's very hot out that day.

Second day is usually Epcot or HS. Star Tours is a MUST, and I usually ride it more than once since the experiences vary. And I always get a beer from the Germany pavilion at Epcot.

For MK, I have to do Space Mountain and Splash Mountain (if it's open). I always love shopping through Main Street USA, as well. That's such a Disney thing for me.

Our trip also begins and ends with MK. The last night we always close down the park.

The other must do is a chocolate covered frozen banana!

On our first full day, we always go to Magic Kingdom and we usually make that our last park before heading back home.

We also close down the park on our last night at MK and I always end up walking down Main Street towards the exit, with tears streaming down my face....it never fails. :(

We start and end in MK as others have said. We love CRT our first day too so we truly get in the magical spirit!

We start and end with MK too!

Must always have a dinner at Biergarten

We stay until closing on the latest park time available at MK and we split up. DH and one daughter go to the coasters. Another daughter who has medical issues that keep her from some attractions, and I, hang out in Fantasyland and we all enjoy the thinned crowds and the chance to ride anything and everything we can.

We used to sit across from the Epcot phone booths and call them and wait for people to answer and just ask them how their vacation was and if they met Mickey yet etc. We'd also ask them to run an errand for us such as looking down the way to see if Alice is around or run and get a cold drink. It was a ton of fun. I hear we can no longer do that. ?

What a nice thread :-) We always stay in an airport hotel in the UK and have a Mcdonalds the night before.

On vacation we start by having some cereal in our room usually watching the weather channel. DW and I stay in a DVC studio which has a small kitchen area. Then we go and spilt a breakfast platter of Mickey waffles and bacon :-)

We start with HS and end with MK.

Always taking the first early morning flight out of Buffalo to Orlando and always taking the latest flight out of Orlando on our last day. Maximize the amount of time in WDW.

Always having at least a dozen jalapeno cheese filled pretzels.

My Disney traditions are:
Overpacking
Overspending
Overeating
And rushing like a fool to catch the ME going home.

Our tradition is on arrival day to jump on the bus to EPCOT and grab the monorail to Ticket n Transportation Centre then the resort monorail. We get off and tour each resort and always have, We then finnish up at the Contemp after doing some pin trading at the resorts and we have to go to Chef Mickey's for dinner that is our arrivall day tradition. Another tradition is heading to Fort Wilderness to watch a movie and make smores at the campfire.

Silly tradition for us - our last meal at MK we eat Casey's. First time by choice - then by force. Now, it's a habit.

I always go to DHS on my arrival day, and rope drop at MK on my departure day. I take the earliest flight down and the latest flight home for more time to do this.

I also always try to give out a few "big boy/girl" pins to upset children on rides. You know, when a kid doesn't want to go on something but the parent cajoles the kid into it and then the kid doesn't like it and cries inconsolably afterwards? I ask the parent if it's OK to give them a pin as a reward for trying it. (Would never do it without quietly asking the parent first.) Usually stops the tears, or at least the wailing. :thumbsup2

We also take first flights in and last flights out. It feels like we get a while extra day in disney.

We always close our trip with breakfast at chef mickey. We tend to sleep always little later and do always late leisurely breakfast. My son loves the character interaction.

First ride is always Pirates. Always.

I love the monorail. I don't know what it is about it..... The views maybe? I usually take some time every day to do a few loops on the monorail.

Our newest tradition is the dole whip on the poly beach. We were late on the dole whip train but now we never want to get off!!

We don't always start with MK, but we are always there on the last day!

DD always gets a funnel cake at Sleepy Hollow at some point.

I always eat Disney popcorn (so delicious for some reason!) at Fantasmic!

We almost always eat breakfast at CP before park opening one day.

I always have at least 1 margarita at La Cava in Mexico at EPCOT.

I always bawl over something DD thinks is ridiculous to cry about.

There are lots of must-do rides for us, but DD would be glad to skip Living with the Land and there is no way I would let that happen!

We always try to go to at least a couple new restaurants/dining experiences to go along with our faves and must-dos.

We always buy a Christmas Tree ornament every trip.
