Disney + Trading Spaces

Just saw that next Sat. at 9:00 p.m. Trading Spaces is going to Disney. I'm not sure what they are going to do, but I did see Donald and Mickey. Maybe they are doing something at Celebration. Either, way it's my two favorite things combined! I'll be watching.

My daughters boss at WDW is one of the houses that was done. She can't wait to see the show. The boss showed pictures of what they did but my daughter wanted to be surprised.

Just when I thought I'd gone to distraction heaven, I realize that I'll be at DM-I-L's next weekend and SHE DOESN'T HAVE CABLE!!!!!!!

DH better figure out how to tape something off our dish with the five hundred other appliances attached to the TV!

Wow, Safetymom that's so cool. Does your daughter's boss work for Disney or live in Celebration? Why was Trading Spaces in Disney? I'd also love to know how many people REALLY worked on the house, I think they have more people than they let you see. If you miss the show they always have it on again weekdays at 4:00 p.m. est. I can't wait to see it.

Not sure how many people total, but I do know that there is another carpenter named Fast Eddy I believe and he does most of the building projects so that TY and Amy can make appearances on the show. Vern came to Charlotte and let this little tid bit out.

I can't wait to watch. I love watching it. Why don't they just say that there is another carpenter. It would still amazing that they come out so well. I want to be on trading spaces family, because I am only 12.

LOL- is it just me, or are most of her rooms just plain scary? I haven't seen nearly all the Trading Spaces episodes (maybe 25 - 30), but every time she is on it, my mouth is agape in horror at what she had done to someone's room....case in point...I watched it Sunday night and she transformed someone's somewhat blah but okay sage green bedroom, she painted the room white with orange floor boards, orange (I mean like pumpkin red orange) accents and these totally yucky furry pillows. I think I would have cried if it were my room. That and the 5,000 flowers stapled on that one bathroom's wall...what a nightmare................................

The Flower bathroom, AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!! Be afraid, be very afraid! I didn't mind the orange and white bed room , it was funky. But how about the one where she painted her face on the wall. That one was bad. The worst was the flowers. How would you get that stuff off? And Doug, I don't want to start about him. Discruisegirl90, did you know they have Trading Spaces Boys VS. Girls on Sat mornings on NBC? You could be on that. And I think we all can say that we LOVE TY. Paige is great because she was Babette in Beauty and the Beast and did marry Lumeire (sp?). I think this is now a Trading Spaces board.

Gotta jump on the Hilde bash bandwagon, I can't stand her!! She's snotty, doesn't listen to what people want and more than half the time her rooms are hideous!!! The one with her face on the wall and the flower bathroom ICK!!!

I don't care for Kia either, what's with her and wall borders???

I like Vern alot and I like a good portion of both Doug and Franks room(not all of them!!!)Doug is sooooo rude sometimes but I just think he's funny, although what's with him always having to do something to the fireplace just 'cause people asked him not too????

I like Paige and I saw her on a wedding story, it was really sweet!!!

We watched that Trading Spaces Family last weekend and we really couldn't get into it. In fact my first thought was "Why would they have Doug be the designer on a FAMILY episode???" LOL

Yes, the one with her face on the wall was wayyyyyyyy over the top...scary...very scary.

I liked Doug's idea on the orange bedroom episode- the green with the wood trim on the ceiling that was cool; the one I saw before that was the Caribbean kitchen. I still haven't decided if he's just plain rude or he's just very dry and sarcastic. I like Vern & Frank's taste most of the time and I also usually like the younger lady-- I would peg her in her 30's with red curly hair; she can have some good ideas. She did a green room on an episode a week or two ago that was very pretty.

I don't Hilde either...she lieks dark stuff, not me at all! and she always goes against the wishes of the homeowner.

Paige's husband is currently playing Scar in the traveling Lion King production. Saw him earlier this year, and that is him with Paige in the Enterprise Rental car commercial too.

That's Laurie~ she usually has pretty subtle, classy taste. Although she has a thing against ceiling fans... but even she can get pretty snotty sometimes.. she was angry with some homeowners one time, because they didn't paint a headboard, they didn't understand her directions, and she was fuming...someone on the set should have helped, they knew what needed to be done. I purchased the Trading Spaces book, they do have behind the scenes help (Fast Eddie) and they don't just leave the homeowners with all that homework... they do stay and help.


At least Laurie doesn't PAINT fabric couches/chairs like Hilde!!
I tape it everyday while I'm at work so I can watch it at night and watch for the "pillow" in each episode, only been able to find it a few times!!
