disney to universal transport

Mears transport seems to be the most popular choice. It depends on how many travellers there will be. A cab may be more economically feasible.

Whats the best way to travel between the 2 without renting a car?

We are using a towncar service, for our group of 6 it was $40 one way. That was cheaper than what Mears would have been for our group.

Back with our experience as promised

Hubby says we paid $27 plus tip

edit: oops wrong thread - $ 27 was taxi from PBH to Downtown Disney

Any chance you can tell me which company you used? I got a quote of $50 for a towncar from MCO airport to Hard Rock and I believe the Disney resorts are further out than Universals.

We are heading to Disney after our Universal stay, but we'll just take a taxi for that one.
thanks.

You can also get a lynx 50 from Disneys ticket and transportation centre and get off by seaworld then get another lynx to Universal or get the I-ride up towards Universal and then its a short walk, I know its more traveling than the other methods, it's what me and my girlfriend did last year it cost about 4 dollars each way each I think.

We find Mears to be the most expensive car service. Has anyone else felt this? One way from MCO to AKL for $86 for 4.....ouch! :headache:

But you could use the Mears-run Magical Express to the AKL for free, couldn't you?:confused3

We thought this as well. We are heading to Universal first so no DME. We have a towncar service from MCO to Universal RPR and then the same service from RPR to Disney BCV three days later. The cost for both trips is $100 (plus tip) for the 6 of us. This was much cheaper than Mears. We will use DME back to the airport when we depart, but it was only another $35 if we added that.

It is SO CRAZY what these cab services charge from MCO to the hotels in Orlando. :scared1: They really make you think that the hotels are so far away from the airport, which in reality most of them aren't!!!

What do you mean by a 'complete' package? We are using DME and we are staying onsite at SSR. We haven't booked flights through Disney though.

I don't book my airfare through WDW either - they asked when I made my hotel & ticekt reservations if I wanted to add ME, and then asked for my flight info.:confused3
