I for one am good with this. Now Disney needs to get Joss Whedon to direct a Star Wars movie.

Agree !! - Either scrap Avatar completely or better idea is to expand HS and add a huge Star Wars area - as this park needs something more then what it currently has.......

I've been hoping for an expansion of Star Wars at DHS for years. It's a perfect fit and is timeless in its popularity. Such wonderful possibilities and would be a wonderful addition to DHS that desperately needs something new.

As for Star Wars in AK, that's no more logical than Avatar.

My husband just sent me a text while he is waiting for his flight home. I went to FOX news and read the article. I guess it should not surprise us. He sent me another text back, This means Star Wars Weekends for the rest of our life! Yes it does, a Star Wars Weekend trip once a year is a lot of fun no matter your age.

I hope Disney skips the Avatar change and concentrates on HS. They could do so much with the Star War theme.

I'm a Star Wars nerd and I don't believe that Disney is a good fit film-wise.

Fortunately, the popularity of Star Tours and SWW seems to have struck a chord with upper Disney management.

It appears the whole Avatarland was merely a ruse to keep Lucas under $5 billion.

Let's hope there's a "Disney's Peninsula of Excitement" with Marvel and Star Wars themed areas coming down the pike soon.

I wouldn't even mind an Avatar-themed area as long as it was exciting! (that is, different than the film)

Disney had little to do with the making of the Avengers. They just distributed it and then reaped the benefits. It's all kind of muddled together though.

It could work if Disney lets Marvel and Lucas Films do their own thing as they allowed Pixar at first. Time will tell.
