Does anyone know if you can upgrade a 14 day ticket to an AP only bought these tickets so we could get the DDP through first choice.

No because the 14 day ticket is only available in the UK and not over in Disney which is where you would need to upgrade it. That's what I assume anyway as 14 day ticket (I'm assuming its the one that lets you in to any park not the Magic your way one) is classed as a special ticket.
