It is rare to need your photo ID but it does happen. Because of that we tend to carry passports with us.

I have never been asked at either Disney or Universal. Last year for a while we did carry the passports around but felt it was too risky if we lost them. This year we exchanged our paper driving licences for the new photo ID ones and carried them instead. I don't think anyone would ask for photo ID for kids though.

We were on a few occasions asked for photo ID in shops though.

I didn't get asked for photo ID in any park when I went in September.

I scanned our passports into the computer then printed off colour copies and lamenated them and carried those round instead. I was able to use them everywhere as ID except the Comedy Warehouse for some reason although they did still let me in.

My Mum Or Dad didn't need to show their Photo ID through the Holiday, But they still carried it around with them :thumbsup2

Legally I think you are only supposed to do black and white copies of passports.

Really? Whys that? I've never heard that before.

Hi, my mum said that she had to show photographic id in some shopping malls when buying stuff.

It was a couple of year's ago when I read it, I think I read it on some forum then checked it out on the passport site but I definitely read it there. I have no idea why the rule is in place because I was surprised myself and I don't suppose it is enforced. I just take black and white copies anyway. It is always wise to have a copy in case you lose a passport, then you have all the information to give to the officials for a replacement.
