Disney tickets at ebay??

I did the same thing, but found a new problem. We didn't end up needing the ticket I bought and then couldn't easily get rid of it except by turning to ebay ourselves (which we didn't want to do, not being big ebayers). The moral is, if you buy off ebay, you have little recourse if something doesn't turn out right.

Yes, I gave some thought to the idea that I may be out $$ if I bought on ebay. But I'm willing to gamble that nothing will happen to keep me and my family from going to WDW. It's a chance I took, also, when I reserved a 2BR 2BA villa at Orbit One for $260 for the week though skyauction. It's non-transferable and non-refundable. I've gone a nontraditional way many times, using priceline for hotels and airfare. I've saved tons of money this way. Yes, one day I'm sure things won't turn out exactly how I planned, but I can afford to lose the money if it ever does happen. Again, I'll take my chances.

Just wanted to post that I used my ebay 2 day hoppers from seller "golden*rule" with no problems whatsoever. I was not able to find a hopper with only 2 days available anywhere but ebay. I also got in on the paypal discount that was being offered back in Sept. and saved that way too. I for one am all for ebay if I'm comfortable with the seller's feedback and I can save at least 30%+. I always use my cc in case I have to put in dispute. Each person has to examine their own comfort level.

I never bought tickets on ebay but I sold some... My DH and I work at a resturant and one of our wholesalers heard we were taking a family trip to Disney so he gave us one day park hoppers (2 adults three children) ... I don't like to look a gift horse in the mouth but we are florida residents and I wanted to buy 1 day at sea world and the pay 2 days pass for WDW... so I would have had to shell out the money regardless... so I sold the passes we got as a gift on ebay and used the money to pay for the tickets I wanted.... I could have heald on to the gift ones for another time but I really needed the $ LOL

I did once and never would again. Seller claimed she mailed the tickets
to me. I never received them. She said it was the post office mistake. It
took going through e-bays fair trade to get any of my money back. And then it was only half of what I paid. Mousesavers site recommends not buying
them from e-bay. Sorry I ignored the warning.

I am sorry that this happened to you Sharon. It had to make you feel sick.

Sick was not the word for it!! Learn from our mistakes! Thanks for the words of sympathy

I think like with anything else on e-bay you've got to be careful.
The tough thing with Disney tickets is that there is no way to know if they're good or not until you get there.

I've sold a Disneyland pass and I did get lots of questions from prospective buyers. I tried to calm their fears, but certainly understood their nervousness.

Ours was a convention pass. We had to purchase it as part of a package when DD participated in a competition there, even though she had an annual pass and didn't need it. It had a specific expiration date so we couldn't just hold onto it.

It was a win-win. We got the money we paid for it back and the buyer got discounted admission to Disneyland.

I can't believe how many people are selling 2 or 3 remaining days on 5 day hoppers though. I would certainly avoid those auctions!
