With 2 teens who are into thrill rides....Disney doesn't present an issue to us.
Apart from MGM which is excellent fun......our two are totally ambivalent about WDW...... MK is great for tiny ones....but Epcot has to be THE most boring park in Orlando......Test Track is well past its sell by date, and the other rides are overdue an overhaul too.
No doubt at all that Disney is magic....especially to smaller ones, but to the harder to please teen section IOA and Universal hold sway. That said...it's the pictures of our (then) enthralled kids ( 7 and 8 at the time ) with MM, by the statue of Walt Disney and the MK Castle that stir the heart and make you go "" AAwww....... ". Mind you... my DW has much the same emotions when she looks at her pic taken with Spiderman, who appeared to be rivalling Linford Christie in certain areas...........HHMMMM!!!!
We're there in Jan 2007.....and I doubt we'll visit WDW at all...unless we do the Illuminations cruise ( assuming we get lucky on the ticket front! ). Main concern for our two teens is IOA/Universal and Busch Gardens.
Unless of course they allow you to take tennis balls into It's a Small World and throw them at the dolls???
As far as I'm concerned it's great that there is so much choice in Orlando...... and let's be fair...it all started with the Mouse!!
Universal just gives older kids a chance to move up the ladder so to speak....
