I thought that park tickets increase around August 1st. Does anyone know if that is true? We're planning an April trip and I am wondering if I should buy the tickets before January 1st in case prices go up after that date. Thanks in advance.
For the last several years the WDW and DL general price increase has been during early August. However, that does not mean that Disney will or will not increase prices in August or at any time they feel like it.
If you buy a pacvkage which includes room and tickets (and dining) one the package is contracted for prices cannot change (other than if there is a tax increase).
I need 6 four day/five day tix but haven't decided which one yet, but as soon as I figure that out, I will buy them in advance - we will be going in August.
How much higher can they go? I bought non-expiring tickets some time back so I lost track of the price. I was hoping to go on a spur of the moment and was shocked by the prices. I don't need tickets but my sister sure can't afford $250(ish). When my hopper is done I'll have to think long and hard about replacing it.

If you are not sure, and you want to buy tickets now, just buy four-day tickets. It is only $5.33 (including tax) per day per ticket to add days above the 4th day. And upgrades can be done at any ticket window or Guest Relations Office.

That's a great idea..if we decide to do a park the last day instead of relaxing by the pool, that's a great option. Does it matter that I purchase the tix from undercover tourist?
I wouldn't think it would matter as when we went in '07, the passes we got from UT were exchanged for tickets the first day we got to the parks. Once that's done, I can't see how they would even tell. Nevertheless, when we went, the passes from UT gave us 6 days in the parks for the price of 4...do they not still have something similar? We ended up going 5 days to Disney parks, one day at Sea World, and the rest of the time hanging out in the resort (not enough!) or other attractions (Mount Dora Railroad - BORING! - Chef Mickey's, monorail hopping and such.)
