Disney-Themed Paper for Autographs?

We are going to be doing 5 character meals during our trip to WDW. (I’m hoping this will alleviate my need to see characters throughout each day at the parks.) I just started thinking about character autographs, but wouldn’t want to get a book, because I’ll just remove them from the book and put them in a scrapbook. Does anyone have any good ideas of where to get small Disney-themed paper? I know tons about scrapbook stores, but haven’t noticed any themed paper smaller than 8.5x11. I’m thinking 6x6 or smaller. Any ideas would be great! Thanks!

I sometimes get a catalog for Paper Wishes. They have very cute 8x8 book of Disney papers, with punch out tags, etc and I think stickers for only 8.99.I don't know the exact web site, try a search for Paper Wishes.com. I hope this helps! As an avid scrapbooker...I made autograph books for my grandkids when we went. Rather than tearing the autographs out of the book, I scanned them, then could reduce them or enlarge them-whatever I wanted to put on a page. I also had all the signatures on the right side of the books, and on the left side I put the pictures of the kids with that character(s). Good Luck!

Michaels here had the 8x8 papers, or if you can find the 12x12 papers you could just cut them into 4?:confused3

That is a great idea for pages with a design that covers the whole page. I hadn't thought of that. A little more complicated for designs with a castle or something like that. Thanks!

The Creative Community forum has some wonderful autograph pages that you can print. You could use these in a scrapbook too. You could also use stickers to decorate the pages for some of them. I also have several Disney punches that I have used to decorate 'generic' pages.

For DD's autograph book, we used Heather's designs here from the DIS ( http://disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1608084 ) and printed onto card stock from A.C. Moore (colored), cut out the 6" x 6" squares and glued them into a blank 6" x 9" spiral bound book - but you could just have the characters sign the cardstock itself... HTH!

Here's my current list of characters that we *might* see at each of our character meals. Is there anyone I am missing? Thank you!

TUSKER HOUSE - Donald, Goofy, Mickey, Pluto, Minnie, Daisy

1900 PARK FARE - Mary Poppins, Alice in Wonderland, Bert, Mad Hatter, Penguins, Pooh, Eeyore, Tigger

CRYSTAL PALACE - Pooh, Tigger, Eeyore, Piglet

AKERSHUS ROYAL BANQUET - Belle, Jasmine, Snow White, Mary Poppins, Sleeping Beauty, Ariel, Mulan

GARDEN GRILL - Mickey, Pluto, Chip, Dale

I have heard reports that Cinderella MAY show up at Akershus, although I'm pretty sure it's VERY rare... but just in case, you want to be ready.

I did a bunch of 4x6 cards (I did the 4x6 ones Heather didn't do). I printed them on card stock and then put them in the photo album. I started making cards for just the character meals. I have LTT done and will hopefully do the rest in the next month or so. :thumbsup2
Cards can be found in the hyperlink below. I also did a character listing (where the characters are found) last January. If anyone wants that, email me at chaoscent@verizon.net.

Personalised autograph books are definitely the way to go - I made one and got lots of pixie dust from the characters - and I am an adult with no kids!

Scrap booking paper that you can cut to size is a good way to go about it - or plain card stock decorated with stickers ( you could get the kids to help) or you could print some from the computer using clip art - which is the method I used.

We did something similar last year and will repeat it this year (we found the designs on the DISigns forum and just customized them).

All of our cards were just put into a coupon organizer (divided by alphabetical tabs A-D, E-H, etc). While we were waiting in line, I'd get the appropriate card on the clipboard, stick the sharpie on top and DD was good to go! Likewise, at our character meals, I'd get all of them ready before we got there.

We ended up getting great character interaction AND even got Mrs. Incredible to sign (not stamp)!

Plus, you have the added benefit of very little weight to carry while you're enjoying the parks.

I can't wait to see what the other character meal autograph pages look like! :yay:

This may be more work than you want but when I did autograph books for my nieces and nephews I bought them each a big Disney coloring book that had many of the carschees in it and had them color pages of each character then I took them to a copy center and made smaller color copies of their colored pictures on a little bit thicker stock and punched a hole in the top corner and put a ring through it they carried this and a fat sharpie pen and when they met characters they signed on the pic it looks really cute in the scrapbook because they also contributed sorry if that's not ehat you wanted

Definitely more work that I had planned on, but a great idea! How neat to have the kids participate in making the autograph books!

There is a thread called creative DISigns. I don't have the ability to attach links here. But if you go to " Dis home " you can then search for the "Creative DISigns" thread. There you will find all kinds of cute Disney envelopes and stationary photos. You can click on the photos and save them and then print the ones that fit your needs...There are some really KEWL things there. Such creative people....must be the Disney magic and all that pixie dust that has captured us all...young and old alike.
