Disney-themed baby announcement

I could use a little help from all of you super creative types out there.

My DW and I are expecting our third child in April and we'd like to do a Disney-themed baby announcement in October. (The announcement will come in the form of a photo, shot by me.)

Our original thought was this: display our DD's Minnie Ears (which have their names stitched in the back) and in between, we would place a baby-sized Mickey ears set with "April 2014" stitched in the back. In the event that's not obvious enough, I'd probably include some text that says "Coming soon to a crib near you" on the bottom.

The problem is the Disney store is out of the baby ears, so that idea is out.

So, here's your challenge: give me your best Disney-themed baby announcement idea. We'd like to incorporate our twin daughters somehow, though they don't have to actually be in the picture (ex: using their Mickey ears).

Unfortunately, going to WDW early to shoot something there is not an option

I like the idea you had in your OP. Could you try calling the Disney Merchandise phone number and see if you can order the ears over the phone? I don't know if they'd be able to personalize them that way, but you could always edit the "april 2014" into the photo afterwards

If you have a Joann Fabric store near you, I saw some adorable Disney baby shoes there a couple of weeks ago. My store had Mickey, Tigger and Pooh, I think. You could get a pair of Pooh ones (unisex) and line them up between pairs of your daughters' shoes (princess shoes, maybe?) and take a photo. Caption something like "new shoes to fill." Also check Target for Disney baby items -- onesies, etc. You could hang them on a clothesline.

We made a disney annoucement in 2011 when hubby and I were expecting baby #2. Our tradition is after every family vacation(parents,siblings,etc) I gather everyone's pics and put together a dvd slideshow of all pictures from WDW set to disney music. After I found out I was pregnant I knew that was the way I was going to announce it...so i made the dvd and the last 3 pictures were as follows:

Picture #1: Picture of Cinderella Castle lit up during MNSSHP with this written across it: "The Most Magical Moment Of All..."

Picture #2: Picture of Cinderlla Castle lit up with dream lights with this written across it: "Next Year..."(since we were going in december 2012)

Picture#3: Picture of my son with my neices and nephew at blizzard beach with this written across it: "Their Will Be An Additional Mouseketeer!" the wording was also written in pastel pink and blue.

The last song that we had was The Magic The Memories and You song

If I can find the pictures I will upload them! It really took everyone by surprise and we'll have that dvd forever

Do you do separate suitcases for each person in your family? You could get a picture of suitcases lined up and add one on?

I really like the mickey ears though. I'd figure out a way to make that work.

Dh and I took a photo of us holding a 2013 Disneyland onesie in front of the castle on our January trip...it was so cute! Not an option since you aren't going to the parks.
