I've been a lurker on this forum for several months, and finally have a topic to contribute to the board! I've also been an avid Disney memorabilia collector since childhood. My first item was a Mickey Mouse hat my parents bought for me at Disneyland in the 60's.
Today I was doing my normal eBay surfing routine for Disney items and came across a theme park vehicle from the Space Mountain ride at Disneyland (#330062892072 if you're interested). In the past I've seen similar auctions for People Mover, Snow White and Tea Cups vehicles. What a nostalgic piece one of these would be for me (I'm still a kid at heart!), and for my kids who would have a blast playing on them.
I have a few questions though... Does anyone have any idea where I can get more info about these types of items? Does Disney offer these items for sale often? How much do these vehicles normally sell for? Is there any sort of guide or known value for such items? Anyone know where similar ride vehicles are for sale?
I don't know the first thing about them, their history, etc but I'm hoping some of you might have experience in this area. I've got a huge 5 car garage which I've remodeled into a kid's playroom and a nice Disney piece like this would be a great accent to the room.
