Seriously. I wouldn't believe it either unless I saw the pictures in THIS ARTICLE. I think this is very interesting and very innovative. Wondering what other people think about this.

~Yay! Thanks for the update! This is so exciting, AvatarLand is going to be just fabulous! :goodvibes

Wow! I have, so far, been less than lukewarm about the Avatar Land concept. BUT, this really looks innovative! Can't wait to see what comes of it!

That looks really cool. I have no desire to see Avatar, but I'm still hoping to be able to enjoy aspects of the area.

I would be worried that it wouldn't match up correctly with my ponytail.

Before everyone gets too excited, note the author points out there's virtually no chance this will be something guests could ride on--much more likely a show element. And assuming that's the case, I'm still meh on the whole Avatar idea.

Yep, I figured it would be more of a character/show element than a ride. But, it would still add something very different to the park experience, in my opinion. Of course, I'm still wishing Magic Kingdom would add the Tangled flying lanterns to their evening entertainment...not just the MMY projection but ACTUAL floating lanterns. I mean, if they can make a flying dragon... ;)

Flying dragons are kind of cool. I would not mind walking around and seeing a dragon flying above me. :)

Avatar is not cool.

Yep. Might be kind of cool. Just so long as that dragon doesn't do what birds are known to do. Kerplop.

Just shows how the Disney imageering is alive and doing great. Cars land is being very well received and the crowds are coming for it. SeemsHOP has givien disney imageering a hit up side the head and they are coming though with stuff to put universal back in their place.

If this is just the start.........avitar may turn out amazing

but not my favortie thing for AK though!

Wonder where they'll find enough open airspace at DAK to utilize such a thing. It's so lush and overgrown (and frankly so is the landscape of Pandora) that it's going to be mighty tricky to use it.

It would be awesome if multiple flying dragons became a permanent fixture in the skies of animal kingdom. Especially if they could somehow hide the non-dragon parts from below so it looked like real dragon!

It wouldn't be a ride, but it would be a magical mood setter!

I think I see Sorcerer's Apprentice Mickey fighting a flying dragon in the new version of Fantasmic!

And with any luck, the creature eats Pocahontas and all her furry friends.

Fantasmic could certainly use the help!

Any chance this isn't meant for a Disney park...but perhaps for the movie, Malificent?

Most likely it's prob not. They could easily just make a better looking dragon using CGI that would cost them wayyyyy less money and give them a much better result. This looks like something that is coming to the parks that will have to be flown by a professional. Now, which park and for what reason. Who knows, we may never get the answer.

I don't care what movie causes a flying dragon to appear at WDW. I can get behind any kind of dragon!
