Disney Tattoos

I would like to get something like this to go on the other side of my Grumpy

dopey.jpg

Sorry its so small. I can't find a larger picture of it and when I try to re-size it looks distorted

I am back to the drawing boards. I have decided against the Snow White with Grumpy because I feel like to get the detail it would need to be bigger than I want.

I really love the recent castle tattoo posted. Anyone have any ideas for something along the lines of the castle or maybe a Mickey head with crown?

I am about to cover up some Chinese symbols on my ankle by making them into black mickey heads with colored outlines. They are right next to each other on my ankle. I just don't love them and I know I would LOVE a Disney tattoo.

I think 2 will be face up and one will be face down, or vice versa.

Any suggestions?

I have several other tats too, but nothing Disney, just flowery type stuff. I have pics tho.

How big are you planning on going? And where are you planning on putting it?

My suggestion would be to go to the place you plan on getting tattooed, or even to a few different places. Take in a picture, sketch, or even idea of what you'd like and see if the artist has an inspiration to go along with it. That's what I did and I love what my artist came up with. I know what I ended up with is the logo for this year, but I wouldn't have thought of it! Plus, his other sketches were awesome. That way, too, you can get a feel of the place & person if you don't already know them and see if you're comfortable with them. Fortunately, the area I live in has many tattoo places and I was able to feel them out. I DO NOT like a certain chain we have around here, another was okay and she would have been alright, but the 3rd place I stopped to price & get ideas at was "IT" for me. Hope you're able to find "your" tattoo! Can't wait to hear about it! :wizard:

Fun! :thumbsup2

I couldn't agree more. My brother and I got "matching" tattoos to honor my grandfather...I am really hating mine and going to have it covered up. I love the rest of mine but didn't put enough thought into this one. BE SURE!!!

Oh, I didn't realize I'd missed this remark, Mandy. I'm a quiet reader of this thread and never comment, but I didn't know you're getting the paw covered. I loved it when you posted it to be honest. Obviously, you have to love it yourself, but it surprised me when I was going back through this and saw your post.

Little Side Bar ----
I suppose I should mention (or introduce myself) that I have no Disney tats yet, but I have half sleeves, one tribal under my belly button that I got when I was 18 (years ago :lmao:) and one on my back before they became better know as tramp stamps - I hate it now, but I still leave it there... I'm an ink freak and going for full sleeves. I have 2 artists and an apprentice that are allowed to touch me unless I find a major artist in the area or at a convention, :lmao:! My Hidden Mickey tat is currently under way and it will be placed in an anchor with a leopard print bow on my foot or ankle. I currently have about 5 tats planned which include a upper back piece with sugar skull and roses, more flowers on my lotus arm which will contain roses, asters, lilies and hyacinths, and a feminine rat head, pig head and snake on the swallows arm to represent family members, sounds crazy but they'll be amazing when done - probably in a few years as time and money allows.

Anway. I've seen some cool pieces here. I adore the Snow White Half Sleeve. It's beautifully done!

Well I was thinking about the size of the castle one theatermouse recently got. I was thinking on my ankle or maybe hip area(front or back).

Awesome!!! How did you find the foot pain?

I'm not the poster, but this is my tattoo that I got last night for my 16th birthday.

The pain was not that bad at all. It took about 10 minutes, both the outline and the coloring. It felt like a really bad cat scratch. At some points it was worse than others, but it lasted maybe 10 seconds before the artist moved on to another spot. At some points I could feel it "rattle"my bone but it actually felt kind of worse. I actually let out, "THAT'S IT?!" when I started getting tattooed because I thought it would be sooooo much worse.

The gold ribbon is for childhood cancer, which both me and several good friends and classmates have had. One recently passed away so this was for her too.

ETA: Oops, this is imabrat on mom's account. Whoops.

I have 2 others besides this one -- one of them was a cover up. The one on my lower back is really large and took almost 4 hours...the one on my ankle is about 5 inches in height and is pretty detailed.

Compared to those, the foot was not that painful while I was actually having it done. What IS painful -- and it still hurts now, is the aftermath! I walked on it in Vegas all day Friday and Sat and by the time we flew home Sat night it was swollen and painful!

Foot tattoos take more dilligence about aftercare than other locations on the body. But I love it!

I still want a Tink tat.....in the future!

Thanks for sharing - it's a great tattoo Sorry it's not for a 100% happy reason

Cool, I have lower back and ankle, and neither were too bad (not compared to my hip anyway!!! Maybe I will brave it for my foot then. ;)
