Disney Tattoos

I'm surprised, there seem to more Tinkerbell tattoos than Mickey even! Or maybe about the same.

I don't have a tattoo right now (I'm only 21 and don't want to make any "you'll regret that when you're older" decisions yet!) but if I did, I think I'd want something more uncommon! Something like.. Figment, or Maleficent, etc. Heck, I'm surprised barely anyone has Disney princess tattoos! I think I would be open to a Beauty and the Beast tat. It's such a great story, and I think whatever tattoo I choose has to have a meaning. Figment would be great to remind you to think with your IMAGINATION, it's the embodiment of being a kid. Unfortunately, my sister was always the figment-obsessed one. She's probably think I was stealing her "thing".

I'm actually getting Snow White and Dopey this Saturday. It is funny though I do have Tinker Bell ( alot of people seem to have her ) & Mickey Mouse.

Snow and Dopey are so cool, my wife has the one where Snow is kissing Dopey's head, very sweet! She already has her next planned out, but won't tell me..she says it's a surprise, the only hint she gave was it involves Disney + family.. Love your Tink Tattoo, the Mickey head back pocket is awesome! Great Sorcerer Mickey too! I had a hard time choosing between Sorcerer Mickey or Steamboat Willie, I went with Steamboat. IDK what I want next?? I might get the Sorcerer one, i Was thinking maybe him fighting the dragon like a scene from Fantasmic. Looking foward to seeing your Snow and Dopey

I got my first tattoo for my 32nd birthday this past March. Now designing my next couple. I think I have 4 more in mind.

Anyway, the one I am planning on getting to represent my love of Disney is this:

I am going to have these words: "There's a great big beautiful tomorrow..." arranged in a circle. The "..." is all going to be tiny mickey heads. Then, since the words are going to be in a circle, I am going to have ears added to the top. So, it will be a Mickey head, but the "face" part will be the words. Hard to explain.

Probably going to be the circumfrence of a pop bottle cap. Going to get it on my upper outer thigh like my other tat.

Cannot wait!

Can't wait to see it! I'm not sure when I'm getting my next one, I haven't decided what to do yet. I like the Sorcerer Mickey/Dragon, but I'm also leaning towards the Skeleton Pirate steering the ghost ship (the one on POTC near the begining of the ride) I think that would be cool. Decisions,decisions!...Maybe I'll just get both!

That's one reason I got my Disney Tattoo (my avatar to the left). Not overtly Disney like a typical character tattoo, and yet still has a LOT of meaning and memories attached to it. Plus, short of the Dreamfinder or Figment, what better way to embody the classic Imagination Pavilion and all it stood for?

I don't have a Captain Jack tat, but when I was CM at the Disney Store, we had a couple who I affectionately nicknamed The Pirate Couple, and she had the sparrow tattoo that Johnny Depp sports. Apparently it was a tat he had previous to filming any of POTC, and they just made it work with the character...

If I felt like I was set in a career, or in my real adult life, I'd seriously consider one like that as well..

you could always get it in a place that can't be sceen like your hip.

i have 4 tats and the only one that is visible is the one on my shoulder and only when i'm swimming.

i have another on my hip and one on my lower back.

the last one on my ankle is on the inner side and even though i'll push no socks until november most people don't see it because it's not on the outter side

Just got this last Thursday. It's my "Hidden Mickey"!! This was right after it was done - that's why it's a little red and swollen. It's 'hidden' unless I have my hair up!!!

I can't wait to get my Tinkerbell on my leg this winter...but no more near my hairline! Ouch!! And this was my second....but it hurt so much worse than the one on my shoulder!!

been dying for a while to get a disney tattoo - i have no tattoos.

was thinking ultimately that i wanted "good" tink w/maybe a hibiscus on one ankle and "bad" tink w/bird of paradise on the other. (the flowers have meanings for me).

i was envisioning small tinks, but after reading all the posts i see that ink runs. how small could i get tink on my ankle without messing up the detail?

i am also nervous about the pain

Don't worry about the pain. After the initial start, your adrenaline kicks in, and it's not as bad as you think it's going to be. I'm not a fan of pain, but considering I had 2 kids the size of watermelons...tattoo's are NOTHING!!

As for the size....you might need to go bigger than you think with the Tinks. The smaller things are, the less detail they can have.

Thank you!!! I saw the ribbon pattern on a tattoo website, and I free-handed it and added a Mickey instead of the big ugly flower that was there!
