Disney TA conference

I'm really having Disney withdrawals. Anyone lucky enough to be heading down to Walt Disney World anytime soon?????

Well, I am cruising on 12/4...........does that count?!:woohoo: I have to admit though, it is going to be sooooooooooo hard to be that close to WDW and not going in! Of course, 1 week later, 12/11, I will be on the same cruise for 'work'....sometimes, this job really stinks!

How does that work????????

Is the 12/4 cruise, the free one from last year?

The work cruise 12/11 what do you mean a work one?????

I'm JEALOUS

Yes, the one on 12/4 is the free one from last year. The one on 12/11 is our Agency Appreciation Event that the company hosts. I am going to book our second stateroom on the 12/4 cruise to get the discount - I will put it in my husband's name.

For those of you who booked staterooms already with the free cruise, how long did it take for you to hear back? I am trying to coordinate this with a space available offer for my parents (my mother is also an agent). I have 3 kids so we need 2 staterooms (or a 4 but 2 is less expensive!). We were planning on putting 2 kids in one room with us and 1 with my parents. I have their space available held but it must be paid for same day. I faxed in my request and was just curious how long it usually takes to hear back?

I have a question for those of you who took your cruise that you won last year. Did you go to WDW first? If so, did you buy the transfers and leave from WDW to port? If so what resort did you stay at and what resort did you leave from with the transfers?
Thanks

yes we did one night before at Disney to make sure we made it there. We did not do the Disney transfers but we did see them on our way to the port.
We were at the AKL and the bus departed after noon for the port.

You mentioned you got your confirmation for the free cruise back in 3 days. Did that come by fax with your confirmation number on it, by email or phone?
Thanks

Wow, sounds like you guys all had a great time!:thumbsup2 SInce I am just starting out in this Travel Agent gig- I was hoping you could give me some pointers...I am working on getting my CLIA card now- and am only a sub-agent at this point. I have to find my own clients pretty much and have exhausted the resources in my local area by putting up flyers and handing out business cards to everyone I see with a Disney antenna ball :rotfl2: Do you have any tips for getting clients? I have offered gift cards for bookings and sent "care packages" out as well. I feel like I'd get lots of repeat customers and word of mouth clients... If only I can get the word out. :confused3 Anyway- I hope I'm not out of line asking for tips- but I'd love it if you pros have any!:worship:
