We will be traveling in January to the world and I would like to have a surprise waiting for my 2 granddaughters (1 and 4) when we arrive. :cheer2: I checked Peggy's Sweets and Creations and she has discontinued her service. :sad2: Does anyone have any ideas?

I contacted www.wdwflorist.com and they have gift baskets and flower arrangements, fruit and candy, etc. I arranged to have some things sent to our room when we are there next week. It will be a surprise for my husband. They said it will be delivered that day, sometime after we check in. I am also having a package of goodies (that I put together) delivered from home via USPS, addressed it to ourselves, and put the date of arrival and reservation # on the bottom, front of the package. I learned this from the discussion forum. I am hoping it will work out well...I plan to send a box again in July when we go with my baby girl who will need diapers, and other items that I would rather not haul on the plane.

The deluxe resorts also offer food treats through their private dining department. If you are staying one of those, they can also make arrangements to have something delivered to your room.

Another site for gifts, is www.giftsofalifetime.com.

If you really want to spend money you can pay to have a personnel disney shopper to put together your gift. I did it 2 years ago for my DH 40th B-day. They put together a gift of items I choose from Disney gift shops.
They wrapped it and added a card and an autographed picture from the Fab Five. I also added chocolate covered strawberries instead of a cake. It was in our room when we checked in (after 3pm). It came out perfect!!!
Total cost was about $200 for the shopper fee, gift (pin bag and 10 pins) and stramberries. I would do it again in a heart beat. I believe I called the hotel directly to do this.

I also used the Disney Flosist a few years ago for a gift basket fo my mom, she said is was great. I spent around $50 for a snack basket w/ balloons.

I love gifts of a lifetime. My husband used them to plan an "event" for me when we went for our anniversary a few years ago . I LOVED it :-). One day I plan to get him back and plan an event for him Muahhh hahh haaa

Thanks for the ideas. I have a little bit of time to ponder this.

I would recommend if you don't find anything that you like on their website, call them directly. The CM who took my call gave me some good suggestions and even helped write a wonderful message. The receipent said it was a wonderful special arrangement. The flowers shimmered with pixie dust. They asked about the receipent's likes and then created something special for them.

Just subscribing as I am also looking for ideas. We will be heading to DW in Jan. & staying at POP to celebrate my DH's graduation from college. I am looking for any special ideas to suprise him while we are there.
