I was just wondering if there is a "supermarket" in the Disney resort area. We are going for the first time with my 20 month old daughter and I was wondering if there were stores where I could buy her milk, yogurt, and stuff like that.

We will not have access to a car so it would have to be in the resort area (we are staying at the Boardwalk Inn).

Any info would be great, thanks!

The gift shops usually have a limited food section with milk, juice, snacks, sodas etc. But it's can be expensive. Since you are staying at the Boardwalk, with is also a DVC resort, you would probably have more choices. You can also try www.wegoshop.com Alot of people use that to have groceries delivered to the resorts for a small fee. :)

FYI -- It's not wegochop.com. It is wegoshop.com. Didn't want you to be led astray! :goodvibes

For no more than you are going to need, the BoardWalk should be fine. They have a pretty good general store. The prices are higher than you'd pay at home, but not as bad as you might think.

There is also Goodings (a little pricy) just across the street from the end of the Downtown Disney Hotels.

Gooding's (www.goodings.com) delivers for a $10 flat fee and a $50 minimum. We used them and loved it, very convenient as well as friendly. I can't imagine a round-trip taxi ride would be cheaper than $10.

Wow... thanks for all the suggestions!!

Do these stores also have diapers? I have never travelled with my daughter yet. How many diapers do you bring from home? Sorry if its a silly question!

Thanks for the help! :)

I pack enough diapers for the whole trip. I usually buy them in the big boxes and keep them in the plastic packaging during travel. They take up less space that way. I use the extra room on the way home for souveniers.

As for how many, that depends on you & your child. Maybe 6 per day?

Don't forget swim diapers! We use the non-disposable kind with tight elastic over the disposable ones (in case there is something messy but there actually never has been with my 2 kids).

Yes, they have diapers but on Disney property they are expensive. We sometimes buy an individual milk at night in the gift shops for $1. It's bigger than the cartons they sell in the food courts for about the same price.

We usually bring about 10 diapers from home and buy a pack at Publix or Eckerds on the way to the resort. But, we usually rent a car and make the stop before checking in.

The places that deliver will deliver baby supplies too.

We also sometimes just pack a Jumbo size of Pampers in the luggage instead. This way when they are gone, we have extra room for our souveniers when it's time to go home.
