Part 6: Motion Sickness Who?
We had an extremely early morning as we wanted to try to ride Flight of Passage with minimal wait time and it was extra magic hours. So we had our alarms set for around 6:15 and we were ready to go! Backstory, we couldn't get Fastpasses for this day because my sister lost her ticket she got in the mail and we had to wait for it to be resent to her. It didn't get to us at the 60 day mark so all the Flight of Passage FP's were gone for this day. I know I know, first world probs.
Well any who, we made it to Animal Kingdom and were off to the races to get in the line. Since it seemed to have just opened, the line was extremely intimidating. It almost seemed to start by the Festival of the Lion King. We were a little hesitant to wait but I am super glad we did! They didn't have any of the switch backs open yet so we basically were just waiting to get to the front (praise). We waited only about 40 minutes and my mom and sister absolutely LOVED it! My sister was nervous because she gets a little bit motion sickness but she powered through and made it!
We then explored pandora a bit and then started to head over to our first FP which was Everest (an all time Family favorite). We then headed over to the road side carnival and enjoyed Primeval Whirl (well I did, my mom and sister not so much. They aren't really fans of the spinning rides). Then we made it over to go explore the Dinosaurs! It was around the time to use our other FP for the Safari! My mother is absolutely obsessed with the Safari and could sit on it all day. It is so precious because she is like a little kid when she sees the animals. Side note, if you watched the vlog, my mom was trying to get one of those
cooling towels to work. Idk if it was user error or what but we honestly could not get it to get that cool at all. It just felt like water on a towel around our neck. But hey, anything to help in the Florida heat!
After the Safari we were STARVING so we decided pizza sounded really delicious. I was VERY happy to hear that they had Caesar salad instead of the weird salad (in my opinion) that they had a couple years ago, which was the last time I ate there. It could have been a change that everyone knew about but I sure didn't know!
