Disney Studios - Best Restaurant

Sci fi was greasy and left us a bit ill last time...going to try mama melrose for the first time next week...

Really surprised by all the Brown Derby lovers on here. I am not a fan. DHS is by far the hardest park to find good food at so this is an excellent topic.

I personally find 50's Prime Time hard to beat. If that doesn't touch your fancy than perhaps Mama Melrose would do the trick but again this is a distant second. If you aren't sold on 50's PT my suggestion would be to hit DHS early and get out and go eat somewhere else! Epcot offers a far better selection of food and it is only a boat trip away. Also, the Boardwalk area and Yacht/Beach Club offer some nice choices as well.

Cheers!

Brown Derby hands down! Excellent all around and one of our favorites. So much so we eat there every trip which is every six months!

Never sure why DHS gets such a bad rap for food. The theming of the major TS is not to be beat.

We love Mama Melrose, Brown Derby, and Sci-Fi. 50's is great, but when they got rid of the Tuna, made me very sad. :(

Honestly, Sci-Fi and 50's Primetime are 2 of my favorite WDW restaurants. The theming is fantastic in both, and the food is really good. :thumbsup2

We love the food at 50s PTC. The fried chicken and PB&J milkshakes are very, very tasty. I'm so-so with the antics, but we always enjoy a meal there. :thumbsup2

Have not tried Brown Derby, but I really, really don't like Sci-Fi.

I agree with the Si Fi. They can keep the food. Just so so. I love the antics at 50s prime time. In fact...I recommend you put your elbows on the table just for fun! I do it all the time. We had a waitress who was a bit older and more from that era and she hit the nail on the head. She was fantastic...but that is part of the experience. If you are looking for a quiet sit eat and rest for a bit kind of place this isn't for you. They can get crazy in there...in a fun way that is.

Enjoy!

Brown Derby is my favorite there-- but it's pricey and I'm skipping TS meals at HS this trip. We may do Pizza Planet for dinner but only because I have a Toy Story obsessed 4-year-old. ;)

Otherwise, the last trip (when I was 6 months pregnant), I loved Sci-Fi. One of my favorite meals (lunch) that time. But I was totally craving burgers and milkshakes. lol

Sci-fi and 50s prime-time are stand outs. The reuben at Sci-fi is very good, and enough food for two. The theme of these places is outstanding, we consider them must-do. You can't find a place like sci-fi anywhere else in the world! Go there for lunch and Prime Time for dinner.

Brown Derby is the best overall restaurant but I think 50's PT is more fun and better bang for the buck.
