Suggestions for best restaurant for Disney Studios. There will be 4 adults that have been to Disney many, many times. What's your favorite restaurant for lunch or dinner?

We are all disney lovers. Kids are staying hom for the weekend.

Brown Derby

Mama Melrose (just because everyone says so)

Other than those two, not much to rave about except Starring Rolls for dessert!

Sci Fi is cool to visit, but the food is super greasy food like you would expect in a drive in

Brown Derby. It has an all day menu. I think the fish dishes are always good here but I'm currently in love with the pork chop entree. Yes, it's that good.

My family of four likes Melrose's Italian. Nothing special about it, but beats the alternatives of Hollywood & Vine, Sci Fi and 50's. Hollywood Brown *is* better, but costs way too much.

A other vote for Hollywood Brown Derby; that's my favorite for food and service. For atmosphere, I like Sci Fi. The food was tasty (I didn't think it was greasy), but nothing fancy.

We love Sci-Fi! Hollywood & Vine has a great buffet, but it's very toddlery in there because of the Disney Junior entertainment. Great if you have toddlers, otherwise maybe not.

Agree! Not fancy, not greasy. We've eaten there los of times, I've not had any greasy food. Greasy food makes me feel sick, so I'd remember.

We enjoy 50's PTC. I love the themeing, the interaction and the food. Their fried chicken is excellent.
Have Fun

Lunch - Sci-Fi Diner
Dinner - Brown Derby (only issue, they seem to want turn over tables to quickly) :confused3

Agree with sci fi or 50s. The food is simple at both but the ambiance and decor are true stand outs.

We never miss sci fi! I have never found the food to be great and the shakes are so good. This is a must for us.

I'd agree with others and do Sci-Fi for lunch and Brown Derby for dinner. I enjoy both of these for atmosphere and food!

I have to say... Disney did not focus on food when thinking about DHS. It is the least favorite of all parks to eat at for table service/sit down meals.

We have eat an Mama Melrose's a couple times and while it was good, it didnt blow our socks off. Their bloody mary was really good though.

We really enjoyed Sci-Fi Dinner Drive-in Theater. The ambiance was amazing! Food was good and drinks were decent.

I didnt hear great things about Hollywood & Vine, and Brown Derby was a 2 credit DDP meal.

For Quick Service we have really only hit the Back lot Express, ABC Commissary and of course our kids love Pizza Planet. Its a good idea to eat a big brunch/breakfast out of the park, then head in and grab a quick bit or in DTD.

We were there last August and we really enjoyed Pizza Planet for quick service and Hollywood and Vine for Breakfast.

Another vote for Hollywood Brown Derby for the best food. I liked having the original Cobb Salad - lots of flavor, but so different in texture from any other Cobb I've had.

Sci Fi has a fun atmosphere which I really like. The food is good - typical burgers, fries and milk shakes.

One of our decision points in choosing restaurants at WDW (and only at WDW) is how immersed you are in the theme. We love Sci-Fi Diner because of this. You sit in a car and watch horrible cheesy 50's monster movies on a drive in movie screen. Don't know how much more immersed you can get there, lol. Having said that, we haven't dined at some of the other restaurants in DHS, and we will need to do that on future trips.

For lunch we always love the Studio Catering Company. Lots of "fresh" choices.

For 4 adults nothing beats Brown Derby. It is the most upscale dining experience in the Studios... For pure fun and down home good cooking I would visit 50's Prime Time. The fried chicken is terrific!

Least favorite park to eat in, but we enjoyed 50's PTC on our last trip. The food was good and the waiter we had was hilarious!

I agree! I'm a health nut and while I'm sure my veggie burger wasn't as healthy as I hoped for, it wasn't greasy. I didn't have fries so maybe that's what some people thought was greasy. I love Sci Fi though!
