Was looking at a thread earlier of some of the storms in and around the WDW area, and it inspired this thread. Lets post some photos of those awesome storms that are so quick to come from nowhere in the Orlando area! I don't (unfortunately) have any pictures to contribute, but I know that you all have to have some good 'heavy rain' shots or those very ominous clouds, so let's see them!! :thumbsup2

Actually, here is a picture that would sort of classify as 'ominous clouds' but....lets be honest, this isn't much in terms of Disney storms!

We're so desperate for rain here in Texas, I too would LOVE to see some rainy/stormy photos! :tink:

The day started off bright with a few clouds then these big black clouds came rolling in...

Here's one with slightly ominous clouds but nothing big

Unfortunately I don't have any pix of the storm itself from this one (which was by far the worst storm I'd experienced) but here's a pic of me with Ariel after coming out of the rain (and, I was wearing a poncho!!!!)

I had a couple more post-rain photos, but none of them were as good! :)

Our Wedding day... Storm came out of no where... wind reared up and sand blasted us on the beaches of the Grand Floridian, then torrential down pour... it was awesome!

This one was taken by my DH in the very early 80s from the balcony of our Comtemporary room.

Storm clouds over Fantasyland. I love the shadows of Peter Pan and friends on the building. Looks like they're flying into the storm.

Amazing thing is that picture was the brightest part of the park at the time. As I took that picture, we were sprinting to Liberty Square, where it was pitch black and pouring, and through Fantasyland, where we saw this. In Fantasyland it was only drizzling, and in Tomorrowland it was pouring and thundering.

DH and I are used to it raining on us on vacations. So we had the photopass people take some photos of us in the rain.

The two days in Epcot we were stuck running from country to country because it was not just typical Florida ran but all day down pours.

No storm photos from me, but I have been caught in the rain many times at WDW. One thing's for sure: I'd rather be stuck in the middle of Disney during a storm than in my own house, that's for sure!!! :cool1:
