Disney Store's semi annual sale

The email stated it started yesterday and they have the signs at the store. I specifaclly asked about what were the Semi Annual Clearance item because I wasn't seeing any thing that the price had changed. She told me that was the Semi annual clearance sale.

The sales staff at my store here in Indianapolis told me that this is the sale.

I just got back from the parks this weekend and spending roughly $8.00 on a beach towel at our local Disney store felt great after seeing the pricing in Florida!

I'll probably be heading there this afternoon, and probably be paying $8... make me feel better, tell me how much more they'd be in Florida? :)

We got one for $12 with a purchase and it is really nice. I didn't look at them other than that. I'm not sure if it wsa a $25 or $50 purchase.

I decided to skip the towel for now, we're not going until next year (I'm just an obsessive planner) but we did pretty well at the sale yesterday. I havent been in a month or two, so I can't say if anything was on sale now that wasn't before...

I bought one Rapunzel costume for $29.99 (org. 44.99), one Ariel costume $24.99 (org. 44.99), and one Sleeping Beauty Costume $24.99 (org.44.99)... I was going to return one of the costumes, either Ariel or Aurora but brought them home for DD7 to choose, she loved them both, so we're keeping both... <sigh> I bought the matching shoes for Rapunzel and Ariel ($9.99 from $14.99). We got a Jack Skellington TShirt I'm going to squirrel away for a Christmas present, I think that was $6.99, I'll have to check, and 4 nightgowns, two fancy, and two simple, and 4 sets of the $2.99 flipflops...

When all was said and done, it came out to about $200 with tax... I figure with what it would have cost us to get both girls a costume with their BBB packages ($380+ tax instead of $110), I still come out ahead!

Oh, they also had sunglasses for $1.99, but I skipped those. And our CM said our local sale (Maryland) had started Monday. So it must be a regional thing.

wondering if prices will drop today?? Trying to decide if I want to make the hike to the store near me!

So did anyone go yesterday?? if so how were the prices and selection????

I just can't decide if I should make the trip to the store or not. I was planning on shopping online, but the sale isn't online. My closest store closed so I have to drive to Kansas, which in reality it's not far, but gas is so expensive these days.

Prices are the same. I even called another store and asked the prices on a couple things from the Disney Store I was at. Towels still $7.99, etc.. Nothing different than the week before this "Huge" Semi annual Clearance sale started.

Thanks for the update! Looks like I won't bother...sometimes they have a big sale near July 4th...guess I'll wait til then!

What a joke. Everything that was part of their semi annual Clearance sale has been on sale for the last couple weeks. I went yesterday and asked the manager what the specials were and she said pretty much the same as they've been for a while now. Towels still $7.99.Sad:sad2:

Towels DID stay the same, but CMs spent many hours Sunday night marking down items. One large group of items was most of the role play, ie costumes and costume accessories. Almost ALL were put on sale, to make way for new styles. Including the Rapunzel dress, but sizes are very limited on that one. Also marked down almost all the summer PJs and nightgowns. (excludes Cars), but that is very similar to the prices in the last few weeks, like the towels. Many toys were marked down, in addition to the ones that were marked down a couple of weeks ago. Also some of the adult lines of product, and some plush and beanies. More infant clothing went down.

I think T shirts may go down in a couple of weeks, making way for the new styles.

The stores do NOT carry the inventory that they used to, so the really deep discounts will be rare, and mostly seen at the outlet stores. The stores do box up the sale stuff after awhile and ship it to an outlet store.

Have fun! :wizard:

I'm assuming you're heading the the store at Oak Park mall since you're from the KC area. I'm heading there in a little bit, so I'll let you know if there are any super good deals. I need some presents for my nephew's birthday, and maybe some stuff to stash away until Christmas....

Yes :thumbsup2 Definitely post what you find! I'm mostly interested in adult womens shirts and household stuff (mugs, towels, etc..). Thanks!!

Definitely not worth going unless you have other stops at the mall (I was glad I did!) The sale on Womens shirts was $3 off if you bought 2 (2 for $28, reg. $16.95.) Mugs were 2 for $14, although there were a few tinker bell mugs on sale for $3.99. Towels were $7.99 as reported. There was a small summer outdoor type kitchen accessory section that was mostly 50% off, but most stuff was still $10+. All I ended up walking out with were a couple pairs of kids sunglasses for $1.99 each. I was super bummed that I couldn't even find any pirates stuff regularly priced for my nephew. I'm going to have to look online I guess, he's going through a total pirate phase right now!

I don't know how old your nephew is, but Hot Topic has all their Pirates of the Caribbean tees half price, plus buy one clearance item, get one half off.

He's turning 3, so I'm looking for toys or costume accessories mainly, but he doesn't have any official POC shirts... Do you know if they are they the kids tees, or for teens?

Teens, and the bigger sizes can fit adults. Kohl's had some POC shirts too.

Target had a really cool Lego POC shirt in their boys dept. Looks like this:

Just search through the brown tees. Good luck!:thumbsup2
