Disney Store.com carrying theme park items!

This does make it fun to order personal ears ahead of time, they have some really cute ones, even the bride and groom and graduation I know alot of people who want these this ear!! :thumbsup2

I don't know if anyone else had received this email, so I thought I would share it with my fellow DISers anyways....

Disneyparks.com/store

This is a new website where you can purchase things from WDW and Disneyland. I already found some of the items that I had purchased when I was at WDW back in March and I saw some of the things that I wished I had bought but didn't.

Enjoy :goodvibes

Very cool! There's not a whole lot there yet, but hopefully they will be adding more later. :thumbsup2

Oh thank you PoohsFan1!!! I passed on buying something in March and have now wished several times that I had it. Maybe I can find it here.

I also got that email. I think it's great. We will be going back in September, so anything I guess I can't afford to get then hopefully I'll be able to order after we return.

I may be in the minority here, but I am totally annoyed that you can buy this stuff online now! That was part of the magic for me. Going to WDW and picking out our autograph books, ears and other stuff. Now every time I go on, they have pics of this stuff and it will be no surprise on our next trip. Idk, buying stuff at the park that you couldn't get anywhere else was part of the magic for me :( (not that I don't want other people to get a shot at the stuff)
I agree with you. I think it takes away some of the magic if you can just order Park stuff online like anything else. It doesn't feel as special.

I'm glad they're doing this. I've been wanting to buy my boys personalized mouse ears ahead of time for our trip

I have to agree, the things you could buy only in the parks made them more special IMHO. But I'm not surprised they are putting stuff on line now. Everything is getting more generic. Most stuff has the Disneyland/Disney World logo now...used to be things were specific to Disneyland and Disney World and most of the shops carry all the same stuff. Remember when every shop you went to carried it's own unique items? They have been homogenizing the merchadise for awhile now, I think it's a shame.

Agreed! Just last month I was on an elevator and a lady walked on with a "Walt Disney World" tote bag... so I asked "how was your trip?" We ended up both being there last September and talked all the way out to the parking lot.

If you see "...World" You know it came from WDW! Not online, or walmart, or disneyland, etc.. It was just another part of the magic.

I don't find this to be so great. It takes away from shopping at the parks. It's nice to be on vacation and buy things that can only be purchased at Walt Disney World for myself and for my friends and family. I find it to be strange and some what sad!
While I agree to a certain point, some people like to buy certain before a trip...to make it that much more special..more real to them!! Plus, imagine being a kid and getting Ears the night before your trip!! What a great way to dream!!!

I'm sure there will always be things that will ONLY be EXCLUSIVE at either park..WDW or DL. But, perhaps someone forgot to buy one of these items and now they can!!:goodvibes Just another token of their wonderful trip!!!

I do this all the time!!:rotfl::rotfl: DH just shakes his head and tells me that I'll talk to anyone!! Well..duh!! They went to Disney World, too!!!

Here's my question. Can you have your ears monogramed at the park?
Yes, you can. They even have a shop now on Main Street...pretty close to the train station...that you can make/create your own personal Ears. You can add stitching, of course ears, glitter, or whatever you want. I believe that they come out to be around the same price for one already pre-made or maybe a lil more...depending on what you do/don't add to it!!:thumbsup2

I totally agree - I think it makes it even more special when you can only find these items at the parks.

Awesome! I always find myself--about 2 days after I get home--thinking of 27 things that I should've purchased while at the parks. :)

I think it's an amazingly trivial thing to get upset over.

Interesting comment and point. Got me to thinking... :scratchin I made the comment above about when you see a WDW bag you can assume that person has been there etc...

Do I really get upset over it? :confused3No.
Am I going to change because of they changed the way they do things? :confused3No.
Would I even know if it were not for this thread?:confused3 No.
Would I even be having this conversation if it weren't for the disboards? No.
Do we all use this as our little playground to obsess anonymously about anything? Yes :thumbsup2
Why? Because we can, our little outlet, our chance to vent... and thinking about it really (not only applying to this thread... or even this board) most things we put to the forefront on here are truely miniscule on the grand scale of life. I'll rant more on here about the fact that the kids meals at Harbor House don't include a seafood choice then I would out loud in person about the fact that (insert rant here... economy, taxes, healthcare, etc...) You get the point... maybe.:teacher:
