Has anyone bought Disney stock..if so how ? Looks like it could be a great Christmas gift idea..thanks

We bought ours from CIBC wood gundy then we paid the 50 bucks to get the actual certificate it is pretty cool it has all the carachters on it.

I bought 10 shares for my Daughter's fist Christmas. Purchased them through my self serve broker (Action Direct) commission was $30 to buy the stock and then $50 to get a certificate issued. Framed a color photocopy for hger wall and put the actual cert in the safe deposit box.

CharlesTD is right, there are some cool characters on them. Winnie the Pooh, Dumbo, Mickey etc. All framed around Walt.

I bought one from OneShare as mentioned by DIS~n~JAN. Looks great! :goodvibes

I used the link from mousesavers.com to oneshare.com and you can get a $10.00 discount with the code. Great gift idea.

I was given a share when it was called Walt Disney Productions. When they changed to The Walt Disney Company it split (total of 4 shares). Over the years it has increased to 48 shares. I sold 40 at the beginning of this year. Nice pocket money :goodvibes

Cheers,

Tom

The mousesavers discount at Oneshare is OK but you might find it cheaper to buy directly from your broker or bank.
