We have decided to book a DS hotel for our arrival day and our last night.
We will arrive around 5PM Dec 10th and stay at DS.
The next 5 nights will be at CBR.
Then we will stay Dec 16th at the same DS hotel.

So, we will have a few hours on our arrival night and several morning hours our last day.

What should we do? Eat? Is there anything special there during the holiday?
We are doing this because we have never been to DS and when we think about doing it we find other things in the parks we don't want to miss.

We always stay the first night or two at a DS hotel. I think I have stayed at every one except for the B resort. I have driven 15 hours straight through thinking I wasn't going to go to DS that night because I would be tired only to be so wired about being at Disney that I bolt out the door like a kid. We have a few favorites.

1 I like to go to the World of Disney right off the bat, not buying anything but taking pictures of things I want so that when we come back at the end of the trip, I can look at my phone and see what I "thought" I needed that first night. No kidding, I usually never buy those because I have found better option somewhere else.

2. From there it is over to the Hole in the Wall for a libation and an appetizer.

3. More shopping, and now that there are way more shops, I am sure my wife will happy.

4. Dinner and more libations at Raglan Road. We love it there. Best beer selection. Wonderful Irish music and something on the menu for everyone.

5. When we stay for long while, we break up the day with a boat ride either to POFQ or OKW. Nice to sit back and enjoy the views.

6. for a nice quiet scenic drink, the Lava Bar at the Rainforest is a hidden gem. Right on the water.

You're welcome. I am sure the kids will like Lego store and there is a train for the little ones near the Christmas store. Everybody would enjoy a boat ride. There is stuff there for everyone to do.
