We will be staying at POR. What are our options for transportation to and from Disney Springs? It looks like there is a boat. However, it looks like it quits running at around 4:30? Are buses available back to resort if we stay later than that? Thanks!

Yes, there is a boat! But there is also a bus, so don't worry about that. :)

The boats rides are great. 15-18 minutes to relax before hitting all the shops and food at DS.

Question - can you ride the boat if NOT staying at a resort - but rather staying at one of the Disney Springs Hotels? Just thinking of a boat ride for a relaxing bit of fun.

I'm sure you'll be told that the boats are intended for resort guests. That being said, they don't ask for ID upon boarding.

Are you talking as a way to get back to your resort from a park? You'd have to take a bus from the park to POR or POFQ, but yes, you could do that.

It's a means of transportation; they're not going to care if someone who's not staying at POR or POFQ uses it.

We've ridden the boats from DS to OKW & POR and back more than once. Like all WDW transportation, all guests are welcome whether staying at that resort or not.

Yes, boat or bus to/from Disney Springs but if there is a storm brewing or happening they will stop the boats so head to a bus. We've been on the boat, storm coming, they dropped us at POFQ even though we were heading to POR.

We then had to run to POR in pouring rain ........ :umbrella: except we had no umbrellas ........

Buses, Boats, Monorails ............ for everyone. MANY years ago they were restricted to hotel guests but not anymore. Enjoy! :goodvibes

Thank you all for the information! Where does the boat drop you off at Disney Springs? Thanks!

We took the boat from POR to DS last week - very nice ride!! But we took the bus back due to time & it would have been chilly if the boat service was still running. The boat took about 15-20 min & I don't remember how long it took on the bus but I do remember we were pleased as it wasn't very long.
