for our December trip, we plan to go see a few resorts.

Has anyone take the boat from DS to OKW? is it relaxing/interesting & do you have an estimate of how long it takes?

I'd be interested to hear this info, along with more info, as well. Also, from the perspective of going from OKW to DS. And, where would the boat dock be at DS springs, in relation to the side where, I think, Rainforest and Earl of Sandwich, and the Xmas store. Also, will the boat accommodate a scooter? I'm thiinking yes, but just checking.

And, is the boat usually pretty busy and crowded?

Interesting? Well, not really. It is a nice, pleasant ride though. The boat runs from the dock close to the balloon ride...at least it did when I was last there. I've been with someone using a scooter on them, so that's not going to be an issue. As for how busy they are, the boats aren't too full. At least that has been my experience.
The thing to keep in mind is that if there is any kind of 'weather', they will stop running the boats!

ok thanks. I wasn't even thinking about where the boat would leave from at Disney springs and that's a good heads up on the weather. Hoping someone else will pop on with some more information about how long it takes.

The OKW watercraft operate roughly from 11 am - 11 pm. It is a pleasant ride which I would estimate to be about 15-20 minutes. The last time we took the boat over to Disney Springs was the summer of 2014 (DTD then). The first stop was the dock next to the House of Blues, next was at the Characters in Flight balloon and lastly was, I believe, the dock near the Rainforest Cafe. I have seen wheelchairs, although personally, not scooters, on board. The boats are a nice break from bus transportation and are popular; busier in the evenings then mid-day in our experience.

The ride itself is about 12 - 13 minutes. The boats leave every 20 minutes - on the hour, 20 minutes past the hour and then 20 minutes until the next hour.. Hope that makes sense. The ride is nice, quick and scenic. We are at OKW now and have taken the boat at few times on this same route. One stop in DS and one stop at OKW
