So for those DISers who have been there this summer I would like some help with my evening at DS. We are heading down to Disney in 20 days!!! I have not been to the shopping area in over 20 years.

We are staying at GF.

Not sure if we should Uber or take bus to DS.

I would like to shop in the Marketplace area then make our way to Raglan Road for 6:30 dining reservations and then over to the Cirque show at 9.

Questions are:
I need to pick up our Cirque tickets at will call is it a problem doing this an hour before the show?

If I need to pick the tickets up earlier should we take an Uber from GF (can the Uber wait for me in front of Cirque while I run in and get the tickets and then drop us off over at the Marketplace?)

Is another option to take the bus, walk over to Cirque to get tickets then take the water taxi from Cirque dock to marketplace dock?

Is there time after Cirque ends at 10:30 to have dessert at Ghardelli?

I was thinking....
Your raglan reservation is awfully close to your show and to get tix..
Most sit down meals are like 1.5 hours unless you stay atop n maybe push thru your meal? 630 doesn't mean you ll necessarily be able to be seated at that time. You may be seated 15 minutes after that, just a thought... So maybe watch your time

Have a great visit, yummy food at Raglan...nice music/show too

Thanks. We are looking forward to our meal and LOVE Cirque! I'll keep watch of thr time. Unlikely we will have dessert there.

Ghardelli closes at 11:30 during the weekday and midnight on the weekend so you'll be fine after the show

Oh that's great news. I really wanted to take DD here for a yummy dessert!

How long would you say the walk is from Cirque to Gharidelli? It's difficult to tell from the map.

No matter where you are at Disney Springs I personally really don't think getting anywhere is difficult. I'd say from Cirque to Ghirardelli is about 10 min at a good pace

You won't want to take it to get to Ghirardelli, but they also have the new bridge across the water to cut out a lot of walking if you wanted to get from say the Lego Store to TRex restaurant

Great thank you for the info!

I would go to get the tickets first. Then if you can still get the boat to marketplace from that area do that. Have a shop. Go to RR knowing you can dine in peace just in case there is a large line before the show.

I would get the bus but just allow more time. If there isn't enough time to go back for an ice cream there is a good ice cream store near the boathouse.

Also yea you can take the boats across the water. You can load/unload right next to Cirque, but depending on the time of the day, their could be a long line. We were going to take the boat for the first time last year during midday, but there was about 40 people in front of us. So at that point it was quicker for us to walk. Idk the exact time but it seemed like it was about a 15-20 min wait between boats arriving

You will have a great time! I'm excited to have gotten an ADR for STK in Sept. Can't wait to try it! Enjoy!

It should be possible to be seated and eat in 1.5hrs, If you leave the restaurant at 8pm, you should be fine to pick up your tickets at 8:30 and get to the show for 8:45. You could pick tickets up first, but that adds a LOT more walking.

Thanks all of you for the advice.
So excited for our second Mother/Daughter(12) trip in 19 days
And our first time at DS, ha, almost called it DTD!

Not sure what you decided on bus/Uber and I won't be super helpful because I dont remember, but when we took the Uber to DS, the guy told us he could only drop us over by where Cirque is. We were really only going to make a shirt at the Design A Tee place which is at the complete opposite end. He was super nice and came up with a nice solution where he dropped us off at the level in the parking garage where you can get right down to the middle of DS. I don't think they can drop you at the Marketplace. Its kinda like how they cant drop you directly in front of MK.

I'm still looking for help with regards to whether Uber or bus is best option as I don't really want to be jack a**ing around that whole place, especially in the heat.:crutches::car:

I really need someone who has gone recently and taken Uber because they would be the only one who could answer the question since Disney CM's don't know the answer:confused3, no real surprise.:charac2: Did you go within the last month?

The newest map I've seen is from wdwprep school (July 18th) and the maps shows a taxi station near Cirque in the O,P,Q parking lot and the map shows another taxi station between World of Disney store and Basin at the Marketplace. Uber should be able to drop off at the taxi stations so that's what I'm wondering. :drive:

I went in April. But things have definitely changed over there since I was there (opening of town center) and there was a lot of construction going on while I was there, so I think certain lots were still closed. I see the map you are talking about and that taxi station between the Basin and Marketplace looks like it might be a decent walk itself. (Although on Disney's site map, it looks like a big highway runs between DS and that station...it may just be a place for taxis to wait until called. My concern is that closer to the Marketplace over the yellow highway is a visual sign that there is a walkway which does not exist where the taxi stand is.) Unless someone can give you a definite answer, Id probably take the boat from Cirque to Marketplace. We took it once and it was pretty lengthy though because it stops at the Landing first. There is a transportation board on the dis. Maybe ask there?
