Anyone else getting overwhelmed with all the wonderful places opening up at Disney Springs!!!??? So many places have opened since we've last been to WDW, including all the brand-spanking new places opening recently. With more to come! Since we are staying at OKW, it will be a convenient boat ride to Disney Springs, but we will probably only do that a couple of nights. How are we supposed to hit all these places? What a fantastic predicament!

I have already decided on Art Smith's place for hubby and my 25th wedding anniversary. I am hoping that I can order a cake directly from them, since they are going to do their own baking at a bakery nearby that Art Smith is opening in Jasper, FL. He is trying to bring commerce back to that town. I love a good cake, not interested in too much Disney in the cake decorations, and hate fondant, so fingers crossed that I can get a big ol' cake from them. We can bring the rest of it back to OKW and eat it all week!

But, man, all that fabulous food being offered at stand alone QS places, kiosks, and QS places associated with top-rated TS places . . . I don't know where to start! :dogdance:

I went through some of the menus today for the newest additions. Some seem like you need quite the tastebuds to enjoy! Being from the burbs of Chicago...Sprinkles first opened in the Gold Coast location, we frequent the store whenever in the city, so we are very excited that it has taken a spot in the ranks of some great Disney restaurants. Excited to enjoy a delicious cupcake on our next visit!

We all were really looking forward to checking out The Edison, but the opening date has been pushed back quite a bit, so it will have to wait for our next visit :(

Is it a full Sprinkles store? Or just an ATM? For the record I'm just thrilled to have any at all, but an actual store would be better! :)

After reading disneyfoodblog's article, I think it's a full store- has cookies, cupcakes and ice cream on their menu. :) I'm so excited too! Never been. Just as excited for all the ice cream places!

It is a full store! The store closes down at like 10 or so, and then the ATM closes down at 2am I believe is what I read.

The store in the city (Chicago) used to just be cupcakes, not sure if they have started doing the ice creams and cookies, but my guess is they have. So definitely excited for all of it, but the cupcakes are THE BEST I have ever had. I watched a video blog today that showed this mashup of cupcake and ice cream in a cup...kinda like a cupcake sandwich, it looks amazing!

Wow This Is FANTASTIC News!!!!!!!!!

I love Sprinkles!!! Like I said, I would have been happy with an ATM, but--this is wonderful!!!!!!

I just gained 3lbs thinking about it ;)

I've been to Chicago and LA locations.. Now unfortunately I will have to hit Ghiradelli and Sprinkles within the same evening at Disney Springs. I'll have to remember to wear yoga pants that night. ;)

When is the Edison going to open? Not that I could go (DS2 in tow) but it looks very interesting!

Anyone know when Florida Homecoming Kitchen is opening? All these food choices is making me think I need 2 or 3 extra stomachs! :P

@Candycane83 The Edison is now supposed to open in the Spring of 2017. I was really looking forward to going there in Dec. Oh well, there will be so many new places to try out. As for Homecoming, it's scheduled to open this summer. I am with you on the extra stomachs.

Just waiting for all the picky eaters to start whining about the "exotic" menus.

The reason for me to whine is not because I'm picky, but the entire rest of my family are strictly basic/plain eaters: i.e., I'll never get to try these places.

I'm Having a VERY hard time! I currently have ADR at Raglan Road before Cirque but I'm really heavily considering cancelling and just doing some of the newer quick services ... So many choices!

Edison is opening Spring 2017...I really love the concept of palm readers and dancers in a swanky little club..so bummed, but it'll be there waiting for me on our next visit!

Yes, I'm pretty overwhelmed, actually and have lost track of everything that is opening! Think I need a dedicated DS trip!

Nice to know about Edison and Homecoming :) I guess there will be even more choices by December! A little daunting! I wish this was my backyard! :P

Homecoming is the one I am the most excited about because of the whole "farm-to-table a la Florida" theme. Can't wait for that! This will be one of our only TS dinners and I plan to linger!!!

I think all the new menus sound wonderful! Although there is a lot of exotic cuisine available, there is still plenty of burgers/fries/pizza for those picky eaters. Just glad we adventurous types are being allowed to try new things!

May have to fit in another night at DS during our stay since these are on my list, and of course, I mean today - could change tomorrow:

Vivolvi Gelataria - want to try Crema flavor
Cooks of Dublin - this is new to us, for Fish and chips
YeSake - Spiced world, which is shrimp (but no cilantro - I get the metal mouth when I eat that)
The Smokehouse - also new to us, for pulled chicken sandwich with cole slaw (I love a good cole slaw)
Food Trucks Namaste Cafe - Tandoori Shrimp with picked veggies
Sprinkles - Banana? Coconut? I'll be the woman in line carrying a huge box with the remains of my 10" anniversary cake from our Homecoming dinner that took place 15 minutes beforehand . . .
The Ganachery - Florida oranges in dark chocolate ganache

I totally forgot about the Ganachery but that's totally on my list too!

For me it would be
Ganachery
Amorette's Patisserie (everything here!!!)
Vivoli Gelateria
Sprinkles
Homecoming
Maybe STK
Raglan road
Morimoto

Mind u, all the desserts come first! LOL

^^Hahaha - I always read the desserts first, then decide on the meal. But as I said in an earlier post, I gave up sugar about a year ago, and as much as I know I will eat sweets at Disney, I'll have to be somewhat selective or chance feeling totally gross! But I will be sampling some of this stuff!!

I hear ya :)

I'm one of those "like to try different stuff" when on vacation long as it's not seafood (hubby and I are not seafood people though we go to seafood places with our in-laws as long as there is chicken options lol)

We try to eat at places we don't have at home and tend to try and spice it up if you will when it comes to our options. Though at times we want simple food that we can count on (cuz sometimes we just want a good burger)..that just isn't often though when we are on vacation.
