Ok, I will likely get to stay for one night soon, and I want to try a DS hotel, since we'll spend a lot of time over there anyway..... I see the mousesavers list of hotels, but which do you recommend? on Hotel Blvd,I'm comparing the Holiday Inn, Doubletree(suites!) Best Western, Wyndham garden, and Hilton. Which has the best views, easy access? I know which ones are closer, but even a 20 minute walk is fine for us..... looking for experience IRL..... I've driven that road a million times, but never stopped at any of them. thanks! oh- also considering the holiday inn waterpark and suites nearby too....

We have only stayed at the Doubletree, so I can't say anything about the other hotels. Our view wasn't anything special. We had a view of the parking lot, but than again, we didn't ask for any special view. I'm not sure what they may have as an option for a nicer view. We did walk to Disney Springs. It took us about 15 to 20 minutes to get there. All I can really say about it is, we enjoyed our brief stay there. Our room was comfortable and clean. The staff was polite and friendly. It seems like we were given some sort of meal vouchers for breakfast.

I've stayed at the Doubletree and the B Resort in Disney Springs. I loved the Doubletree but hated the parking fees. The B Resort was also great and I especially loved the modern decor. Neither had a view.

See if you can get a deal with Mousesavers for either.

well, I have a choice of the ones I listed using points,so cheap is good..... the doubletree and best western seem to be across the street from each other, how big is the suite in each? the BW has 2 queens and a sofabed....

Check out the following threads for various opinions:
Holiday Inn Waterpark reviews:

The suites at the DoubleTree Suites are 540 square feet. For comparison, that's the size of two Disney Value Resort rooms. Unlike some "suite" hotels, the suites at the DoubleTree are rectangular instead of long and narrow. That means you have windows in both the living room and bedroom.

I have stayed at the Holiday Inn once and my parents have stayed there several times. It is a nice comfortable hotel within an easy walking distance of Disney Springs. You can often get a buffet breakfast included which is why my parents stay there. The pool is fine but nothing to get excited about. We had a balcony with a nice view of DS and a (very distant) view of fireworks (at Epcot, I believe). I would stay there again, for sure.

We have stayed in two different rooms at the Doubletree. I know one of the rooms we stayed in had a large king size bed. There was a mini fridge, sofa, chair, footstool & TV. It even had a sliding door to seperate the bed from the "living area".
I THINK the other room we stayed in had two queen size beds. It seems like there was a sofa in there as well, but I'm not sure. I don't know if it was a sofa bed or not. I'm pretty sure it had a mini fridge as well. They probably have pictures of their rooms on their website.

THOUGHTS -
- You said Mousesavers - note that NEITHER of their preferred Holiday Inns are in Disney Springs.
- There is a Holiday Inn in Disney Springs on Hotel Plaza Blvd - but you need to explore that on your own.
- Me personally would not stay in the Wyndham Garden rooms.
- Hilton in DS needs a rehab but for one night is doable except it has a large resort fee plus parking fee.
- Love Doubletree, has space, newly renovated, no resort fee. Of your list this would be my pick.
- Best Western, I often look to book but once I add up cost/fees ... for older hotel I have never booked.

thanks for the advice..... still thinking now it's between the Doubletree and the Best Western...they're right across from each other, so equal distance from DS.... it looks like BW might have better views, since it's on the side of the street to be looking at DS?

We just got back from a 5 night stay at the Best Western. We got a really cheap price through Travelocity with the extra 15% off. The hotel is nice, nothing extravagant, but it was clean and we had no issues. The hotel was really quiet. We used the Disney Springs busses and we were the first drop off and pick up between three hotels which was a huge perk. The walk to Disney Springs was about 10 minutes, but it was a very nice walk. We did it multiple times.

Unless you get lucky with a deal, B Resort has a parking fee and resort fee. I love B, stayed about four times, but always looking for a great deal there.

Someone can correct me but BW does not have suites. They have rooms with sofabeds. Doubletree is a legit suite with a living room/dining space and a bedroom/bathroom space.

BW is a more dated single room hotel, DTS has just had all their suites renovated. Room wise there would be no real comparison in what you get.

As usual, I concur with HopperFan. The Best Western Lake Buena Vista only has traditional-style hotel rooms that have not been renovated in some time. The DoubleTree Suites are two-room suites that were renovated within the last two years.

Everyone is different. But, personally I never spend much time staring out my hotel window. If the view is more important than the quality of the room, I'd say go with the Best Western. I do think that views are a little better and most (if not all) rooms have balconies.

Yes we had a balcony at Buena Vista Palace with very nice furniture .... sat out there .... not once.

And if staying only one night I can't imagine it will make a difference.

Yeah, it looks that way. Since it's only for one night, and we don't plan to spend any time in our room except to sleep,I'm debating. The BW saves me $(points) ..the DT obviously is nicer. But I intend to be out LATE anyway to get a short disney fix....so.... I appreciate all the help- I can't believe this is my first time staying in that area....I can't justify the cost of onsite for 4+ in this circumstance....as much as I love onsite....

Really if you are talking about one night sleep & shower ......... go with the cheapest Disney Springs option as long as long as you have enough beds. If you are looking at longer or resort time, then I would for sure be factoring in all the other things.

I like Doubletree. The suite is spacious and updated. We got the mousesavers deal with free parking, free breakfast, and lower rate last November.

The mousesavers deal only includes a continental breakfast and special rate at this point. I booked through disneyspringshotels dot com and got free parking (no breakfast), which is about $20/day. That was the better deal for us since we'll have a rental car the whole time. I wish there was a rate that included both breakfast and parking. If anyone knows of one, please post!

well I am cheap - so generally BW wins for me - but $99 for holiday inn is a great deal - a few years ago they completely redid that hotel inside and outside.

I just got a great deal using points at Doubletree.... my only quibble is walkability.... do you have to be on the Hilton side of the street to cross over to marketplace? ANd how long is the walk actually....I'm leaning towards Hilton just b/c it's so close vs. Doubletree....I'm so cheap it's hard for me to see past cost vs. convenience:rotfl2:
I don't mind a walk, but is DS-Doubletree ok later at night walking? it's less than a mile,I know that.
