Disney Springs Crowds

i have not seen any posts on how well Disney Springs is doing since re-opening.
does anyone have any thoughts? I’d love to see photos of the crowds

I saw on some blog that while it was brisk on wednesday, the crowds have dropped off possibly because world of disney isn't open yet?

It's not busy because most of the people who visit Disney Springs are tourists, not locals. Perhaps more locals will come over the holiday weekend.

That's the reason I haven't gone yet personally. May go Wed or Thurs so I can go into World of Disney and the marketplace coop

I made my first trip out to DS today since the pandemic started. The crowds were steady- not dead, but also didn't feel jammed at any point. Disney staff is enforcing the mask polices. My friends and I wanted to grab a drink at a bar- we had to go to three places before we succeeded (Boathouse and George's were booked out and couldn't take walk-ins, we ended up at Terralina's outdoor bar). We didn't experience any issues going to various stores. I didn't go to World of Disney, but I also didn't see a line outside, so we could have walked in. The stormtroopers were also out periodically.

Overall, things are a little different with all the masks and reduced capacities, but my friends and I had a good time.

If you're planning a trip out there in the near future, bring a mask and be flexible. If you have a "must-do" item, do the research in advance to make sure the store/restaurant will be open, and make reservations if needed.
