So I'm looking at our list of potential ADRS and the hours for our upcoming trip and debating on whether I want to venture out to Disney Springs with all the renovating or not. We went in May 2014 while they were renovating and it was crazy busy and a mess; but since we were at POR we had the boat transportation and it wasn't such a big deal. Next trip we will be CSR and would only be able to get down there by car or bus. I'm just not sure if I want to hassle with it even though I would like to try Raglan Road this trip. Looking for thoughts from folks that have been recently. How busy/crowded/messy was it?

We will definitely be going next trip to check it out! I've seen some videos of the new areas and it looks amazing! Especially Jock Lindsey's Hangar Bar.

We arrive on a Saturday, and rather than try to drag the kids into one of the parks I plan to take everyone down to DS to eat and shop and generally get in the headspace for rope drop the next day.

I was last there in Oct of 2014 and I think we circled the parking lot for 25 min. looking for a spot. I'll be quite happy to just take the bus this time. It also seems like quite a few new shops have opened since last year.

We were there in both May and September. May was pretty much a construction site, but September was quite a bit better. The store renovations were a nice flow from store to store. I really liked it. The Boathouse was nice and the walkway by the lake was very pretty. We stayed at SSR for a few days and the walkway to SSR was exceptionally well done in my opinion. Raglan is the best! That area around Raglan is under construction (or was in September), but Raglan is still worth the trip! We did this because we were in SSR, close by and curious about the progress of Disney Springs. Raglan reservations might be worth the bus! (And I hate the buses :sad2:).

Oh I should mention that of course the construction of the garage and the roadwork was still very much underway. We rent a car and parked in the back of the West side. We were there earlier in the day, so parking was not an issue. As others have said, might be safer to take the bus if you'll be there later in the day/evening.

Thanks for the thoughts! It's making me feel a bit better about giving it a go. We would probably be visiting late afternoon/early evening so I would assume the parking situation would be pretty crowded by then.

And I babble on....the Hanger opened the last day we were there. Loved it!

We are definitely going. Very excited to try Raglan Road for the first time. Looking forward to experiencing the new vibe!

DH and I were there this past September and we didn't find it to be a hassle at all. We actually went multiple times during our trip! We took the Disney buses and never had any issues. I'd say its definitely worth it to go on your next trip! Especially if you're looking forward to trying a new restaurant. We love the restaurants down at DTD and often make time during our trip to dine there. :)

We are going in November. Trying out Morimoto Asia and then to the Jack Laundries (or whatever the Indiana Jones bar is) for a night cap.

We were there in July and I planned on spending the day there the day we were leaving (had to check out at 10am but flight wasn't until 8pm). After reading the forums here I was getting pretty nervous about braving it but we didn't get there our last trip so I finally decided I would just do it and hope for the best. We had a great time and are soo glad we went. Design a Tee turned out to be one of our favorite parts of our trip (we really enjoyed T-Rex too). I personally say go for it and enjoy!

We booked an early dinner at Raglan for the last day of our upcoming trip because we don't have park tickets for that day. I'm hoping to take DS to pick out some Mr. Potatohead pieces if that shop is still there, then go eat, and hopefully be back in time to pack and go to bed early for our super early flight the next day.

I plan to check out the Hanger Bar next time I am there. So I guess I am trying to say...yes I will visit DS.

We will probably go on one of our non park days, as long as we can go on a weekday afternoon. Do a little shopping and then an early dinner at one of the new restaurants. I refuse to go if its going to be too crowded, especially until the major construction is finished. So that rules out evenings and weekends for the next couple of years.

Yep. It’s our first trip and who knows when we will get back so not missing it. Love Downtown Disney in CA so gotta hit this one up. And we can’t wait to try Morimoto’s restaurant. I wish Sprinkles Cupcakes was open by the time our trip comes. I’m so addicted to that place!

We always visit at least once on our trip. We take the bus from our resort late morning/early afternoon on a weekday. It's never a problem.

We have reservations for Raglan on Saturday and Morimoto on Sunday, so yep, definitely checking it out! ;)
