Disney springs and gondolas question?

We will be down in Orlando next week for our vacation but we aren’t doing Disney at this time. All my son wants to do is ride the gondolas. We went in October but the accident occurred and they closed them down. I thought I could park at Disney springs and take the bus over to pop century but my sister doesn’t think I can get on any of the buses without a magic band to prove we were staying at the hotel, does anyone know if this is possible? I didn’t think pop century would let us park there either with the current situation with Covid just so we could ride the gondolas.

Disney transportation is open to all. There are no "magic band checks." Many guests don't even have magic bands. You will be fine.

Are they letting people just go to Pop? I think I read something about checking to make sure you were a resort guest or had a reservation. That may have changed though already as well with the parks open.

Anyone can get on the bus though haven't heard any change to that.

We just did this Thursday. Parked at Disney Springs, ate lunch at Chicken Guy, then hopped the bus to Pop for our first joyride of the Skyliner circuit. No checks at any time. It was easiest to walk around the outside of Classic Hall due to where the bus drops you off, but you can walk through (especially if you want to shop/eat). All the stations were walk on, and it took almost exactly 50 minutes from first takeoff to last touchdown. We really enjoyed it, and DH said he could ride it all day.

From all reports I've seen, they are only scanning MBs to validate you're a guest of the resort or have an ADR for people driving to resorts. The checkpoint is at the security gate when entering the parking lot. For people parking at Disney Springs or using Disney transportation to get from one point to another, its apparently business as usual. Those of you who have heard that Disney said you have to be a guest of the resort or have an ADR to enter did hear correctly - Disney put this guidance out. However, Disney does not seem to be enforcing this beyond the resort parking lot checkpoints. I imagine enforcement could change at any time if crowds at any resort become large though.

You absolutely can do this, no problem.
