O.k so i'm getting that Disney feeling because its only 2 months til I go :goodvibes

So....whats your favourite Disney smell? If someone in our family smell a "Disney Smell" we text each other to reminise haha....

So heres my favourite - *that* Spaceship Earth burning smell .....

anyone else?

There is a very distinct smell at the Beach Club Villas when you walk from the Beach Club to the villas by the really wide bladed grass. I can't describe it, but that is my disney smell!

I thought you were insulting Disney for a second there! lol

Mine is the sweet kind of smell near the vendors in MK, and the smell when you get off the plane. I've not been for so long but still remember it. :)

Oh, and that kind of plasticy, hot smell (can't describe it!) when going on certain rides.

i agree with these ones, as you get off the plane that smell tells you you're there (which kinda smells like the old universal king kong ride ) :lmao:

two smells that evoke disney memories are

in a wooded area just after the rain stops-- dixie landings in the morning

vanilla candles -- magic kingdom

cinamon-- main street bakery

sorry thats 3 got carried away --56 days and 10rs countdown

One of the downsides of working with flowers for 25 years is I struggle to smell nice things, even in my own shop everyone comes in saying how nice it smells, all I can smell is the bins, people that have had a drink, smokers, etc.
2 bad places for me, Rainforest Cafe DTD, never eaten there because I can't cope with smell in gift shop. Other is the smell of waste food around Ponderosa and Golden Corral, I am sure other places bins smell in that heat but these are the 2 that have hit me.
I do smell strong good smells but the bad ones tend to be more overpowering to me. :sad1:

BBQ smell from flame tree BBQ.then again any BBQ would do.do turkey legs have a smell? always weried watching kids in prams eating them.so at christmas when we carve up turkey it reminds me of disney as i have a chuckle to myself

Ohh vanilla fudge and cinnamon buns and chocolate chip muffins always remind me of MK Bakery :lovestruc yummy oh and not forgetting the infamous Dole whips :thumbsup2 every time I smell pineapple juice I think of Adventure Land.

The air-conditioning smell. I sometimes go into a Disney Store in the UK just to sniff!

The 'Florida' smell after a hot down-pour.

Fireworks - reminds me of Epcot.

The body lotion and perfume I wear in Florida.

Sweet baked pastries - MK.

Bakery smells in MK bakery, YUMMY!!

The oranges at Soar'n, brings back even MORE memories of a relatives orange groves in Fla (many many moons a go)

As far as sounds go,
When I need a Disney "FIX" I go to youtube and pull up vidoes (I don't know why, but the one of the monorail message about, stand clear of the doors), just beings me right back there......Hmmmmmm.......counting down the mos..:thumbsup2

I love the air con smell at GF - I dont know what it is but it just relaxes me the minute the doors open:rotfl2:

I also love the smell of the pop corn as you get into MK and the sweets in main street.

Now you are making me want to be there now:cool1:

*whispers* this is my ringtone haha

but yeah youtube is just great for things like that

AKL spicy smells... mainly in the corridors. not sure if its something they artificially create or whether it drifts around from the restaurants.

*sigh* !!!

Really cold aircon - but that's not really a Disney thing for me either, just a Florida thing!

Fresh popcorn from those carts near the castle

Slightly chlorinated water from Pirate of the Caribbean.

I love the smell of the rain during a downpour - as long as I'm undercover somewhere!!

When I went on Keys to the Kingdom we caught a whiff of the vacuum bins - ugh awful and exactly the same as the bins at Thorpe Park (where I used to work). Obviously a "theme park waste smell" :rotfl:

I adore the smell of Disneyland, I am going in two weeks, so the smell is on my mind. I think Disney smells like cinnamon, cotton candy, new car smell, and flowers. All the best smells. :laundy:

My favourite is when walking down Main Street past the bakery and getting that vanilla, cinnamon, sweet smell...that makes me feel at home instantly...i still get the smell in my head when watching the holiday videos...

the second one is the hickory, barbecue smell you get the first time you stroll past magical midway on I drive......even now that barbecuey (is that a word?) takes me back......

its no wonder we keep going back.........:wizard:
