Disney Smells

I'm sure that almost everyone has those smells that they associate with Disney. For instance, mine are: the smell of the Grand Floridian lobby, the smell of the water on the water rides , even the smell of the bus fumes! What are some of everyone else's?!

The..."fresh baked" smell from the Main Street Bakery...it's almost as if they have it bottled and piped out...

The smell of the water rides.

The smell of Rome burning on Spaceship Earth.

The smell of turkey legs.

I would also say the smell of the water rides, like Splash Mountain.

Oh, and it's not pleasant, but the smell of the stink bug in It's a Bugs Life!

The smell of the Grand Concourse Station at the Contemporary. It has this smell that's kind of like chocolate or something.. and I sometimes smell it and I always think of the Contemporary.

I also love the smell of the water! It's so distinctive! And there's nothing better than walking into the souvenir stores and smelling all of that fresh, new merchandise, just waiting for me to pull out my credit card and snatch some of it up!

Oh yeah, I only had it once, but it was GREAT! You can't miss that smell in Main St. USA!

Water Rides
Monorail
Hotel Rooms
Lobby at the Poly
Smells of the rides especially Spaceship Earth

I know this isn't a Disney smell, but I have to say the smell when you walk off the plane.

It's funny, there are so many unintentional Disney smells that we all like as opposed to ones that should be more memorable (like the apple pie one). For me I'd have to say...

-The water
-The hotel room
-The gift shops
-The monorail
-The "dust of time" and the burning of Rome in SE
-The candy shop in the Disney Studios!!!
-The smell of the AC that blasts out of open store doors when you're walking around outside

It's all soooo good!

The smell inside Spaceship Earth as you round into the "Roman Ruins" smells just like a local restaurant. The food's not that great but I love going in there just to get a reminder of 'home.'

There are two that strongly 'bring' me to WDW, wherever I am.
One is oranges from the Old Horizons ride and the other is in Spaceship Earth as you round into the "Roman Ruins", the burnt, smoky smell is very distintive.

When ever I smell cinnamon it reminds me of one of my favorite snacks at WDW cinnamon glazed almonds. Yum Yum

The smell that does it for me is right when you walk into the lobby of the Polynesian resort. That unmistakable floral/tropical smell just tells me I have finally arrived!

This is a good thread. I got all excited remembering all the Disney smells and started breathing through my nose more deeply. I smelled something sweet and thought it was really strange. Then I moved some papers on my desk and found some chocolate (Cadbury Mini Eggs to be exact) I had forgotten about earlier. Yum, thanks thread!
