disney site issues

Am I the only one who can't get into the disney site...EVER. We have only Apples in our house. I have tried on 3 different browsers....Safari, firefox and shiira. No luck with any of them. Today after I put in dates, it gives me blank page. Usually, it will give me something but not let me change ANYTHING including resorts, type of tickets.

Any suggestions?

It might have something to do with them updating the website. I know today is the first day I was able to access dates for 2008 but it's saying that no rooms are available for any of the resorts. So they could be updating the website to publish the rates for 2008, or something similar.

What kind of internet service do you have? Was it just today or have you always had trouble? If it was just today, it was more than likely Disney's site giving you trouble. I am not an expert, but before we got cablemodem, we had a hard time accessing many things. I live out in the middle of nowhere ( or close to it) DSL wasn't an option. We had to go with expensive cablemodem service, but were happy to have it. We had dial-up before that, and I could practically make dinner waiting for things to load. OK, that was a bit of a stretch. I don't know of any other issues, my DH is in the computer field, I will ask him if he has any ideas.

Are you running a pop up blocker? Sometimes, this will cause website problems.

Hi, I have a mac, too. My standard browser is camino and this works without problem with the official wdw site. But don't go to disney.com with camino.

It is a bit of a hassle that I sometimes have to find out which site works with which browser (I have safari, firefox and camino)....

I am having the exact same problem. I have a Windows PC. I used to be able to access the site fine but in the past month or so, every time I try to go past the page where you put in your dates, I get a white screen stating "page cannot be displayed." My pop up blocker is off and I'm not having issues with any other websites

Maybe someone else will have an answer?

It is all the time. I did not have problems before they changed the website about 4 months ago. Before that it was fine. I have a DSL line, so it should not be a connection issue. Thanks for your thoughts!

I surprised you can't get it to work on Firefox. I only use Safair (i really love it). But I have to use firefox to use the disneyworld website. I have no problems with firefox. Do you have the most recent version of firefox?

Try restoring your settings to the factory settings and clear your cache. Do the following to clear cache:

1. Go to Start....Control Panel.....Internet Options
2. from the General tab (default tab) select to clear cache; do NOT clear cookies
3. Once the mouse-pointer turns from an hourglass back to a pointer, select OK

Move on to the next set of instructions below.


Do the following to restore advanced settings:

1. Go to Start....Control Panel.....Internet Options
2. Select the 'Advanced' tab
3. Go to the bottom of the window and select restore default
4. Select OK and then close all of your windows
5. Restart your browser and navigate to www.disneyworld.com; do NOT use a bookmark.
